  1. I found one one time that the hint of "Right" Was actually a good clue. The cache was by a statue, and the cache was hidden on the statues right side. Course you had to figure out that its the statues right side, not yours when looking at it.
  2. Theres a you tube video of this its a Halloween cache in Florida I think. I dont have the link though.
  3. there are people who already do this. Saw a thread a couple of months ago talking about that. Cant find it now though.
  4. If its your trackable, and you want the image on the page. Go to your trackables, then click on the trackable. upper right corner is a box with a upload image button. If its someone elses trackable, go to your log or if you havent made one make a entry, even a write note will work. Then view your log, one of the options for you is to upload an image. hope this helps.
  5. Found the normal used movie passes and receipts. The coolest weird thing, was a 5 pound bag of bird seed. it's in one of the larger caches here. I keep checking that one for TB's as its pretty active. Now its about a 2.5 lb bag of bird seed though. (The cache is in a small park, large plastic bucket with a lock n lock. The lid is held down by chunks of cement.) Bad weird was in the same cache, unused tampon. I cito'ed that on sight. The Snake eggs.......NICE! I have several stores near me that sell them. Think I'll pick up a bunch of them and hide them in log books......
  6. Because they didn't help make the find. If I was in the restroom when the rest of the team found the cache, then I wouldn't log it as a find. If all they said was TFTC you wouldn't know. These people were honest about it and the basic point of this thread (from what it seems to me) is to punish people who are honest. What you are teaching people by this (Again my opinion) is Lie on the logs and you can keep your smiley. Tell the truth and we delete them.
  7. I have been watching this topic for a while now. A lot of good points have been made both for and against this. Now i have a question for you. What is the difference between logging it as in in the OP, and Logging it as a team? Say a group of people find it as a team, and one of them is in the restroom. They sign it only as a team name, and when everyone gets home they all log it online. Why should the one person who wasn't with them, the moment they had the cache in hand, not be allowed to get the find? Or say the same team signed everyone's name singly including the one not present. Their name is in the log. They get the find, even though they were not present for the "find". I don't see any difference between the OP's and the one I put out there myself. The only way you would actually know is if they said in the found it log "hey I was in the restroom when the team found it. Sounded like a cool find TFTC." The difference is they told the truth. Which would you prefer. A "TFTC" or "My team found it while I was busy so I didn't see it. They signed my name in the log so I'm loggin it as found."
  8. He mentioned he had a bag of these trackables. Im betting he puts up another one now.
  9. You could move into your collection, and then when you find a cache you want to visit it to, move it back to your inventory. Its more work that way. Personnel I would keep it in the inventory and if someone grabbed it just grab it back.
  10. Hi I have seen this type of TB for sale. http://www.coinsandpins.com/travel-law-enforcement?keyword=police&category_id=4#.UDTcJ8FlTGc This is already a trackable and comes with a ball and chain type of Keychain. good luck with your cache and TB and I hope to see it.
  11. Im in Philly and would be glad to help out.
  12. Well I'll toss my hat in. I am currently looking for a job and am a certified Bartender. Need a someone to bartend a party? I'll do it for free for you. As for calling you names. How about these? Kind Generous Kingly Gentlemanly Oh and I still haven't got a GPSr yet as I cant afford one. I'm broke.
  13. Hes done enough research on it to know its a trackable, that it was seen at Geowoodstock IV, and so hes selling it as a collectible. That to me says he knows what he is doing. To use your analogy, it would be like me stealing your wallet, then putting it up for sale with your DL in it.
  14. That might work. Now how do I explain it to my wife. Me "Honey, Look what our cat dragged onto our front porch..." Her "We live in an apartment building." Me "ummmmmm."
  15. Seems to me about as much value as not putting one on it in the first place.
  16. I have 3 or 4 bugs out there now. For me a visit or a move doesn't matter, it shows me that its still on the move, and in play. I also have one Personal bug on my keychain. Which I log a visit in every cache I go to. This is so I can keep track of what order I visit caches in, and see somewhat how many miles I have travelled on the hunt.
  17. I scrolled down the whole page. The seller came here to see what was going on. He even tracked the jeep TB to Geowoodstock IV. I doubt he will do anything other than sell it.
  18. I would discover it but no way would I retrieve one. At least not yet.....
  19. Mixture of all three. Using an engineers compass with the maps plus the satellite images, for ones out in the forest. (and yes I know how to triangulate from a map. ) Mostly satellite images for the more urban ones.
  20. yep Gorilla Glue or Goop is the way to go. I have no problems with them for anything, I used to work at a Arts and Crafts Store. people come in and asked me your question a lot and those were my first recommendations.
  21. Well today I got find number 51. So far I have gotten them WITHOUT using a GPSr. I have no idea when or if I am going to get one, but its great finding these without one. I know eventually I will have to have one, but untill then I am going to Keep on Caching!
  22. As far as i know its not an option. Keep in mind I am not a Premium yet, so there might be a way. What I do is find the local caches that are big enough to hold trackables and put them on my watch list. This way when someone logs a find I get an email, and then I can check the cache page to see if any are dropped. It's not perfect but it's a start.
  23. I find I do this a lot. Its a great thing in my opinion, and when I do get to put out caches, haven't been able to yet. I would love it if someone saw it needed a pick me up and helped out and told me about it. I carry all the extras, pens, logs, swag. Even have a small kit with zip ties, screws, and o-rings. A good source of extra logs is Geocaching University. http://geocacher-u.com/
