  1. As I creep into the later years of life, I find some things get me a little confused. One of those things is the process of logging a GeoCoin, either found or dropped off. Obviously I'm doing SOMETHING wrong, but don't know what! Sometimes the log works just fine, other times; not. Is it just me, or is there a glitch in the system?
  2. I never worry whether I'm trading up or down. If there's nothing that strikes my fancy, I still leave an item or two. If the cache is looking sparce, I'll leave whatever I have in my bag. Everyone I talk to has this same attitude, so it may be a non-issue. The HUNT is what it's all about.
  3. The thrill is in the looks of my family and friends when I tell them where and how I got all those cactus-thorn scars in my head, shoulders and arms. Not to mention the various abrasions on my knees and elbows from scrambling over loose rocks and shale. Oh, and the wrenched back from stepping on loose boulders. I love it, and look forward to the next one.
  4. The lamest is one that is hidden and camoflauged so well that it can't be found, especially a micro.
  5. I live in Apache Junction Az. and Geocache alone most of the time because my wife still works and I don't. She retires in Jan. 2007 and will be able to join me in my hunts more often. I was traipsing through the desert today a mile or so out of town and the thought occured to me that it would be a bad time for a twisted ankle or a fall. Not a good idea to be out there alone.
  6. Thanks for the reply, Ed. I guess I just made a buck. Ed.
  7. Today I found a dollar bill in a geocache in Lotus, Ca. It had instructions to go to wheresgeorge.com. to report the take. I can't seem to find a place to log the find and placement in another geocache, as we do with the TB's. Any advice?
