  1. Hello, I have posted here when I have had questions as to "how to log a benchmark" and I have always received very nice and polite answers. SO I have another. I was searching for a particular benchmark in Berlin on Maryland's Eastern Shore. It was listed as the "cupola" from an old high school. I believe my log, just note right now, kind of describes my dilemma. Technically the cupola is still nearby by but it is not at its proper location. Destroyed? Here is a link to the benchmark listing: http://www.geocaching.com/mark/details.aspx?PID=HU1527

  3. Same Here. Anything we can do?
  4. Thanks a lot. Exactly what I was looking for.
  5. Yes I was speaking of logging it on the gc.com. And you think that the note is fine or should it be changed to a "find?"
  6. Hello, I know that I have asked a similar question in the past but I don't frequent the forums that much so I couldn't find it. Anyway - while benchmark hunting today I came across what I think is the location for a benchmark. I can see the imprint of the disk in the concrete along with the rod where it was cut off. I was wondering how to log it: "Mark not found" "Found in poor condition" "Destroyed" As of right now I have written a note on the page but I didn't know if anyone could possibly help. This should be a link to the benchmark in question: http://www.geocaching.com/mark/details.aspx?PID=HV0597
  7. Some are loggable on Waymarking.com. I have logged a few of those myself.
  8. Mine arrived today and is heading to Chandannagar, India. Oddly enough my wife has a friend who is Indian and goes to visit family quite frequently. But I think it will go on its own.
  9. Thanks for all your help. I believe I'll go with "found in very POOR condition."
  10. I had the description with me so I'm pretty sure I was in the right place.
  11. Pictures now uploaded. As you may be able to see from the close up - the impression of the disk is there but no disk.
  12. I went out trying to find a benchmark earlier, HV0373. I'm pretty sure I found the "monument" but it seems to have been hit by a lawnmower on numerous occassions. The disk is NOT there. Do I have the right to say "Mark destroyed?" Any advise??? I have pictures but I'm not sure how to upload them to the forum.
