  1. Is there a way to get "what"? Not sure I understand your question.
  2. On the satellite page, you might try clicking on Menu>New Location. This helps the unit "re-orient" itself when moved more than 600 miles from its previous location.
  3. Just upgraded from an older eTrex Vista to a new 60CSx. Tried to load a map set from Mapsource (v. 6.14.1) last night but it would not go using the "normal" way like I have done with the old Vista lots of times. Couldn't get past the window that says 'Erasing previous map data' (I left this running all night and this window was still there in the morning). After reading the manual, I switched the interface to 'USB Mass Storage' and was able to save the map set this way to the 60csx. Not sure if this is the right way to do it, but it worked and the maps appear to be functional on my unit. The maps I was loading are from the old Roads and Recreation and United States Topo. Do I need to upgrade to the latest Garmin map software for them to load the "normal" way into the 60csx? I plan to call Garmin about this but thought I would post something about it here first in case others have had this "issue".
  4. Another issue related to new cache notifications although not having to do with getting it on my cell phone. I went on my "Instanotify" page a few weeks ago and did some edits for getting notifications in my area (I reduced the radius from my home coordinates and changed the name of my notification to my first and last name instead of just my first name). Ever since then, I have been getting 2 notices for the same newly published caches (one with my first name and one with my first and last name). My Instanotify page only shows one notification so not sure why I am getting doubly notified. Is this a bug of some sort?
  5. I voted. I am in the range with the most people.
  6. I recently noticed a similar issue with several gpx files of cache pages I downloaded directly to my PDA (Dell Axim x51 running WM 5.0). See this thread: (http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=204389) Some would open up fine and others would search forever (the "spinning" icon) until I closed gpxview. I have not tried another software program such as the "gpx viewer" to see if that will help. I wonder if an admin. from geocaching.com can explain this. Seems like the gpx file would be corrupted and not the gpxview software on my PDA.
  7. I am using the older gpxview. I will check out gpx viewer and see if I get the same problem with that program. I'll report back later. Thanks.
  8. Today I downloaded the gpx exchange files for several cache pages from the gc.com website as usual to my pda (Dell axim x51). Weird thing is that some of them opened up as usual but several others would not open up at all on my pda when I tapped on the file. I am using gpxview on my pda. Does this mean the gpx files that won't open are corrupt somehow? Never had this happen before. This happen to anyone out there and is there a fix?
