I think there are stories of problems with any unit. Pick one you that has the features you like and is in your price range and buy it. Chances are Garmin, Magellan or whatever it will work fine for you. If not, return it and try again.

Can I use this software with my Explorist 210?

I'm a new user of an Explorist 210 and I have a few basic questions. Is it normal when you first turn on the unit for a random number of vertical lines to flash once on the display? They go away immediately, and the unit appears to power up fine otherwise. I have noticed that sometimes the unit will leave portions of the "goto" path on the display even after I have cleared that particular goto item. It was very cold out when I noticed this. These lines have since disappeared. How come only certain caches show up on my screen all the time (as little rectangular boxes) whereas other caches that I have downloaded to the 210 don't show up unless I select goto them? Is there anything of value on the mapsend lite disc that came with the unit? How do you delete a cache or other point of interest on the unit? That's it for now. I have been enjoying this unit tremedously and we are 3 for 3 finding caches so far. Just trying to figure out all it can do and what is normal vs abnormal. Thanks.
