What kind of survial/emergency gear do you take along with you while you are out caching? I'm going to start taking a small fanny pack with me while I'm out. I figure matches, rope, aspirin, emergency blanket, batteries, knife....any other suggestions?

So Magellan is discontinuing their Meridian line? Is this going to affect anything if I bought one?

Oops sorry, I didn't know that I posted it in the wrong place. I can pick one of these up for around a $100. Is this a good price?? Also does it use the USB port or a 9 pin serial port???

I'm a newbie and I'm in the process of deciding on a GPS. I have a quick question. Is there a GPS out there for under $200 that I can use for both geocaching and in my car for trips and such?? I was looking at the Etrex Vista or else the Etrex Legend. Would either of those work? Any suggestions?? Thanks!
