  1. Hmm ok thankyou, thats another way to fix it - I found this works... --8<-- Are your Events Missing from GSAK ? and PQ's ? Apparently Archived Event Caches are Not Available to Pocket Queries (PQ). So, to add your Missing-Events into GSAK, so that BadgeGen will display them do this.... 1. Open Your Profile on geocaching.com 2. Navigate to YOUR HIDES. 3. Select YOUR Event Cache. 4. Click on GPX FILE and Save the 'single' Event GPX file to where you keep your PQ's. 5. Open GSAK, LOAD your "event name.GPX" file and it will be added to your Current DataBase. Now when you Generate your Badges and Stats, those Events will be included :-) --8<--
  2. In the past I have hosted 2 CITO Events. I created a ALL MY HIDES PQ and my Events are missing. I even tried narrowing the PQ to Events only, they are still missing. Is this a Bug ?
  3. Yeah its a surprise to me, no-one asked me, no-one told me. I don't frequent these forums until something goes horribly wrong, and it has. 'We' the 'Hiders' of geocaches deserve a decent tool to do our work, and its thats simple. I can put up with what we had before today, but at present it actually deters me from coming back to use that Wizard. Its not hard to keep every single geocacher informed - its called email and Courtesy. You don't change something for the worse and say oh-well its too late.
  4. I HATE the new Form of Submission, its long and laborious. Several pages, several scrolling pages ughhh. Some of us are power users and quite capable of doing this on a single page and wide screen monitor, which would be a hell of a lot easier and actually increase the ease for some of us doing hides and submissions. How about a Pro-Submission page? The current one is NOT easier, no way in the world. It looks like a 5 year old created it. I personally don't like Wizards at all, put cache pop-up tips sure lets have them, lots more of them in fact. EDIT: Heres my workaround - create a Dummy Cache as suggested by a few above. Then Edit a single page form - why cant we just start with this !!!
  5. I had problems the other day when submitting a cache. I was told of a location conflict, so I used this 'pencil' area to relocate my cache.... Please Note this does not NOT update the cache location UNLESS, EDIT LOCATION is used FIRSTLY ! Once a cache is Published, the Pencil Edit works fine. Its an annoying trap of a bug that needs fixing.
  6. Hi all, I'm having trouble with data appearing within GSAK, loaded of course by access to GC.COM. I have already consulted GSAK help boards here...please read first. http://gsak.net/board/index.php?showtopic=24078&st=0entry179507 http://gsak.net/board/index.php?showtopic=24078&st=0entry179507 It seems to me atleast that GSAK is at fault, but I'm no expert on code. My logs for the 29-DEC-2012 are missing when viewed within GSAK. My logs are present in a PQ of FINDS, but only in NOTEPAD as FOUND IT, loaded into GSAK , they are missing again. My logs are present and viewable online at GC.COM Awaiting ideas and help... -Mark
  7. What are the GC codes of those caches? Have you already deleted duplicate logs from those caches? If so, you'll want to delete those caches from GSAK and redownload them, otherwise those deleted logs will still be stored in there. Thanks for solving this ! Duplicate logs had been deleted from Geocaching.com, but the duplicates were still in GSAK, once deleted, Find Counts are corrected, thanks again.
  8. Hi all, i seem to have a Found Count inaccuracy, I spotted it while playing with GSAK Badges and FindGenStats. I've checked my logs for the caches on Geocaching.com and there is no duplicate FOUND IT, yet the Find Count on GSAK reports "2" for 3x Caches. How do I go about fixing this ?
  9. The cost of living is going through the roof ATM in Australia !!!!!!!!!!! What about donations towards such Basic members, instead of offering a gift membership, how about expanding to offering a donation to such members.

    Tablets

Was just wondering if anyone used Tablets instead of Mobiles and GPS. It would feel cool trumping tracks with an electronic pirate-treasure-map lol I can really see the advantage of a dedicated GPS atm, the phone batteries just dont last, even charging them between caches isnt good enough, I've dug out the spare batteries for my mobile, now that was a smart purchase those months back!
  11. Hi everyone, I'm new to this and catching on real quick, I am addicted ! I cant tell you how many places I've been, sat down and never knew this pirate treasure was just a few feet away sometimes My main question ATM because I'm keen to Hide Caches and spread the great spots I know of, is where can I download Info-Sheets such as I have found so far, explaining the sport of GC to those who find my caches. You know the ones usually taped to caches with their GC:##### or within a cache explaining it all to Muggles. -Mark
  12. I think the tube idea is great, as long as the property owner ok's it where the problem, if its safe and totally removable. I don't see a difference between a cache in a hollow under a rock and a tube-top under a rock. Might I suggest that BEFORE submerging your main tube, you drill holes near the top where you can insert some sort of hook to more easily pull upwards and remove the main tube. Then theres a hole left, easily filled if it ever has to be closed. Also be sure to seal the bottom of the tube, ground water WILL rise. I'm only new to this and this is actually one of my ideas for my first cache. Another alternative is having to use a magnet to retrieve from a horizontal or vertical cache.
