  1. I totally agree!! I'd like to have a FTF but hey, I'm in this because I like the adventure, hiking, the outdoors, photography, all of it. FTF isn't the high priority for me. I'm just greateful that I can find some, and hope that I find more.
  2. 2 GGA 2006 coins one silver 1 gold those were today love em!! yesterday I got the Evil Chicken coin!!! love it!! Thanks Geo Jeep!!
  3. I totally agree, I would rather my travel bugs get picked up and moved, than just one moving because someone didn't want to take more than one. The whole point of a Travel Bug is to travel, so by all means set them free on an adventure!!
  4. Congratulations Helen and Paul!!! May you have a happy marriage and many successes and smilies while geocaching. Courtney and Dan
  5. We are Tank Gurl and Curious Dan, our names come from: Tank Gurl: When playing Halo, yes I'm also a Halo game player, I like the Tanks, and I'm female, so Tank Gurl was born, plus I'm probably one of the few who will admit to it, but I like the movie with Lori Petty playing Tank Gurl. Curious Dan: comes from Dans favourite animal being a monkey, and he is a curious person. Also curious george was one of his favorite characters. Hense, Curious Dan was born.
  6. ok you need to be using forum code aka BB Code..... ie: [url=http://www.moddb.com][img=http://moddb.com/images/links/link1.gif][/url] except you need to replace the http:moddb.com with your geocaching stats link, and the http:moddb.com/images/links/link1.gif with the image part of the code from the stats page. If you like, email me your stat bar info, and I will convert it for you. But its rather easy to do.... I havn'et tested it yet to be sure dynamic images can be used, though I think from looking at the preview of the signature that it can't be. Its not showing my stat bar on the preview, it says signal the frog.... which leads me to belive that it may not work...... I pulled the above in the code box from the FAQ on forumco.com website..... though it didn't say anything there about dymanic images.... http://demo.forumco.com/faq.asp if you scroll down slightly on that link it explains how to use Forum Code. BTW, Its not working right to show it, but I havn'et given up yet.
  7. sorry its been a few days since i've logged on. html has been disabled on that forum, they are using forum code. I'll work it out for you so that your stat bar will show!
  8. Ocracoke is also an island in NC I used to live near there. Beautiful place to vacation!
  9. I'm originally from Western NY, next time I head up that way, I'll let ya know, we'd love to cache up there!! Good luck and happy Caching!!
  10. Funny, my natural cacher tendencies would be to take a mile hike into the woods, and check out dead logs. I agree totally. Gotta love the nature !!
  11. Any forum that allows you to put HTML into your signaure like should be fine with the codes designed for websites. If you would let me know what forum your trying to post it to the sig line on, I could try to help you with the code it its not already set right for you.
  12. Hi, We're Courtney and Dan, and yes, I have been lurking. Mostly cos there is alot of info here and was trying to read alot of it. We're rather new to Geocaching... found our first one January 28 this year quite by accident. We weren't sure what we had found till we read the welcome letter inside... (Happiest Dog Cache Ever located in Autry Mill, Atlanta, GA) Immediately was addicted to Geocaching, bought a Garmin GPS unit a couple weeks later, and thus far have found 21 Caches. We currently have 2 ammo cans we are preparing to hide and 2 travel bugs to activate and realease on their adventure. Planning to attend CITO on the 22nd, Roast and Toast on the 29th, and our first GGA meeting on May 13, the day after my birthday:P Wheeeeeeeeeeee.... Love this adventure. Dan doen'st really read much on here yet, but is getting a little more into it.
  13. Dan says his ultimate suggestion would be to first learn about the plant life in the area your going, then if you get called on it, you can tell them that your out studying the plant and insect life in this particular area. I like the snake idea... giggles
  14. http://www.armysurplusforless.com/productD...465&colorID=398 sells ammo cans as cheap as $4.99 each. I haven't ordered yet, but price looks good.
