  1. Looking forward to this!! Signed up: 12/02/2010 Received Name: Sent Package: Received Package:
  2. My thoughts on this... the cacher knew it was a micro so possibly is may be a nano. If the cacher does not like unrolling the log to sign, then cacher should not look for these. If I was the CO, I would be sending an email asking them to describe the cache site, etc. Then after they reply, I would send email stating they can keep their smiley but please edit and take out that they did not sign the log (as I don't want others to think I will allow that). I wouldn't delete without communication tho.

  4. Great idea! I have had to email the last finder and ask them where they rehid the cache...so I could move it back! They moved it to make it easier to reach, which of course the terrain reflected the higher reach!
  5. thats a good price, I sold mine for $250 (had maps loaded) and a small scratch on screen. still miss it too!
  6. Was with another person and we went after a cache that stated needing a TOTT. We loaded up on TOTTs and headid in for the 20 minute hike. Once we got to GZ and after a search, discovered a mg key holder at the top of an empty silo bin (which also seemed to "house" an unknown person, and we would have needed a very tall ladder to sign the log. Since we were not from the area so had no prior contact with local cachers we didn't know the TOTT was a ladder. What was frustrating was that we wasted an hour on a geo trip when there were so many others we could have tried. I still get a chuckle thinking about the two of us carting a tall ladder through that area LOL and sure glad that there wasn't a person sleeping in that silo when we approached!
  7. Just the right width to tighten some screws on my bike. I'll leave these Jack Chick tracts that some guy preaching at a street corner gave me. I'll tale the tracts and put in the paper recycle bin at work. Since I eat the kids meals at burger King just for the kiddie toys to put in caches, I'll leave 4 of them, still wrapped in the plastic (really, I thought kids liked things but since reading forums people seem to degrade the fast food toys...)
  8. Oh, I was under the impression that you could change your name just one time. Don't know why I thought this, if someone told me that or I read that.... anyone know for sure since I don't want to end up with ladycache2? Can someone at GS make the change for me?
  9. similar to the original question...but different my name shows up as ladycache but I'd like it to show up as LadyCache. Who do I contact for this to happen? I know, its not the most earth shattering thing but just wished I had done that from the beginning. Thanks LadyCache

  13. My guess is 35. My mom knew I wouldn't smoke as a kid because I was too cheap!
  14. New to tecnical stuff - what is LCD? I have this with a broken USB connection, otherwise it was in great condition. Debated to send it in to get fixed or not...
  15. You might want to post on the event page and ask if anyone has a PQ for the area and if they can send it to you to cover all bases. It may not help with the drive to the event but at least you got the event ara covered. Better than nothing anyhows. I can't htink of anyone that might have my route in a data base on GSAK, darn LadyCache
  16. When this happened earlier in the week I had just decided to cache on my afternoon off. No PQ had arrived after staying up late, since I wanted to load the GPS before heading to work. Nothing the next morning and since it was a new day, ran it again. It arrived around 1235 am, and when I got off at 2 got everything loaded. Was thinking that I would have a shorter caching afternoon and spend time printing out the caches and doing it the "old fashion" way. This afternoon made a bookmark of caches along the route we'd be traveling and sent it for a PQ after 6pm central time and its now 9:39. Hasn't run yet and we are leaving early in the morning. Hope it comes up. Sure hope whatever is causing the glitch is found quickly so there aren't too many people disappointed. I remember when things were offline for a period of time that included a weekend and was really happy that I had an old PQ to use. This is frustrating because we are all so used to everything running so smoothly that we don't expect this to happen. At least I have the PQ of the area we are caching thanks to my caching partner getting the request in before it went down again. LadyCache
  17. An old abandoned outhouse. Yeah, it's long gone to compost but the thought will get some. Have found two caches in outhouses, one while traveling from NE to TX and another in IA. The first one had the real stink to it and the IA one just had a musty odor. Avioded the first outhouse but finally had to go in, all the way in as this one had a little entrance to it, before finding it.

    Geo Coins

Yep, life an get in the way of caching, winter and ice and snow, taking too many credit hours with no time to cache, a lot of micros, death of my son and the larger caches either gone, rivers flooded and can't get to the cache and it might be gone anyhow or I couldn't find (I've had several TB's and coins in my pocket to place just to not find the cache). I have a coin that I can't find and I have searched my geobag. I have the plastic holder it came in (found it in the trunk of the car) and can't figure out how it might have slipped out...and the page for the coin doesn't show a picture. I am hoping that I find it soon so I can move it along. Recently I found a TB in a cache that has been missing from a cache 78 miles from where I found it and its hard to think that someone would have placed it in that particular cache as it was hard to climb to and I would think that someone would have wanted to claim a smiley for that cache! So I got it and just as soon as I find a large enough cache and a relaible one too will get the TB out in circulation again.
  19. Here is the link to the Nebraska group, there are many members in Omaha/Council Bluffs and surrounding areas. Nebraskache is a group of cachers from across Nebraska. Find us on Yahoo Groups: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Nebraskache/ You will see that we have a Sat morning breakfast every week (usu in Plattsmouth) which is a great way to meet area cachers and can usually find someone to cache with that day too.
