  1. You are not aware of the the "All Log"-Link? https://www.geocaching.com/my/logs.aspx?s=1 Reachable via Old Dashboard: on top: Geocaches>All Logs New Dashboard: on left: Geocaches Logs>All Logs I hope this will never go away or - probably worse - being replaced by a crubmbled "new-experience"
  2. Just in case: Austria (Österreich) is not a state of Germany but an independent country.
  3. The pessimist in me is silently concurring to this statement but for my demand I'm still able to find worthwhile caches. And to make a connection to the opening question: Probably yes but I don't consider this as a huge problem
  4. IMHO the website is indeed a great resource and can provide valuable information for those who are willing to search for it. In my impression and as far as I'm able to evaluate this it is also not overly plagued by adds, hidden cookies and that sort. But I must agree that the way Atlas Cached is communicating here in this forum is unfortunately getting more and more tiresome.....
  5. Favourite Points are allocated to caches and not to cache owners.
  6. That it's either one week or it must be 1st of April
  7. I receved a message with a good photo and a nice text but no found log on the cache. I explained and three days later the cache was loged with the current (=wrong) date, a not so good photo and a very short logtext. I tried again in friendly words - but in vain - to explain what the apparently "smartphone only"-person should do. So I ended up similar to what you did: I made a note on the correct date explaing the situation but I also included the good photo and text I received with the message. I left the wrong dated log since I'm sure the cacher who has a modest find rate would not understand the deletion (or would log again with an even wronger date ) So my irk goes mainly towards the crippled app but also a bit to the unwillingness or inability of users (at least then when friendly asked) to use the webpage.
  8. IMHO the Help Center article explaines only why 20 years ago (long before any souvenirs where on the table) the locals decided to classify all caches on the irish island as beeing "Ireland" even those located in the region of Ulster which politicaly is part of the UK. Maybe the article could be expanded that (I guess) because of that decision Ireland only got regional souvenirs (including Ulster) wherase UK only got a single country souvenir and no regional souvenirs.
  9. Yes, thats a big irk. I mean app user can't even change the found date at the time of logging and are forced to use the current date. And I think what the "curent date" is is also a little bit depending on the timezone the app user is in. I often see logs with apparently wrong (later) dates.
  10. Interesting to see that "Activity Streams" are used by regulars and apparently they do not have the problems I have with my custom "Activity Stream" to get new postings/threads only concerning threads I'm intersted in. But as Keystone mentioned, even working flawless it is not a sufficient remedy for what the problem is dicussed here. Thanks CAVinoGal for opening this new thread.
  11. Again now for an extended period the issue is back for me. Apparently "Activity Stream" or better "Custom Activity Stream" is probably a good keyword to attach to this thread.
  12. Again I don't have any problems with unwanted emails. There is no possibility of the forum software to eliminate (AKA ignoring) that new postings are shown up in certain threads which flag the thread and the category to have unread postings.
  13. Can you please show me how I can ignore a certain thread? And I'm also reading only on a PC in an webbrouser and not on a phone.
  14. I'm not receiving any emails regarding new topics/postings. It's just the fact when browsing the forum that the category "Trackables" turns bold is alluring me to look for new content. As much as I really like the funcionallity of this forum, it is missing an ignore function for threads. At least so far I haven't found it
  15. Not sure how to phrase my request...... so please take it just as a lone datapoint of one forum member. I wish it would be possible to technically ignore certain threads like this and the undoubtly following threads regarding that geocoin missions. But unfortunately it is not and since I'm interested in new postings and threads in the category "trackables" it's increasingly annoying that since months (not to say years) the far majority of postings here concerns only this repetitive missions and continiusly new and unread postings are generated by the participants of that missions. I don't want to spoil your fun but this consecutive postings like above pulled finally my trigger
  16. I'm curious how to access it on that site.
  17. Most probably related to this (IMHO un-be-liev-able since weeks neglected) bug:
  18. Not to let a misleading statement stand: Only the owner of the TB or the owner of a cache where a missing TB is logged in can mark a TB as missing.
  19. It irks me that "might be missing" is put prominently in front of the reasons to use this logtype.
  20. Probier einmal diesen Link: https://www.geocaching.com/my/geocaches.aspx?archived=y Dashboard > Geocaches (bzw. im neuen Dashboard links "Geocaches: Logs") dann rechts im Kasten unter dem Kalender "Your Geocaches Awaiting Publication (Show Archived) (None in the Queue)"
  21. For a couple of weeks the issue seem to be back. At least in an intermittent behaviour.
  22. I don't agree. I would say for the development of our hobby it is even more relevant what you, I and everybody else is actually doing or proclaiming than what Groundspeak is offering as guidlines or rules.
  25. Please don't delete old but valid logs. You are aware that even when you happen to have memorized the tracking code it's extremely cumbersome and a laborous task to recreate retrieved and dropped logs? This unfortunately makes it much easier for the TB owner to win that battle. Nevertheless, power to the few who would take up that task
