  1. Thanks CAVino Gal for reminding me about the maps under statistics. I forgot about those. The map, however, I was trying to update is on my profile page, but now that I know about the statistics map, I'm less concerned about the map on my profile page. Also thanks to cerberus1 for the input. Is the map on my profile page a GSAK? What is GSAK? Thanks for your help.
  2. For many years I've had a map of the states and countries of which we've found geocaches. On our public profile, the countries map has disappeared, and I can't figure out how to edit the United States map. Can anyone help with this? Perhaps I need to get a new kind of map so that I can post which states and countries we have found caches. Thanks for your help.
  3. Thanks Mineral2. When you refer to Pocket Queries, are these the GPX files?
  4. So I've been downloading GPX files for over a year, but I just got a new Garmin Oregon 650T and I was wondering if it is possible to use the "send to GPS" function? Has anything changed with the Garmin Communicator?
  5. Although my computer says that I have the correct application to download caches from geocaching.com to my Garmin Oregon, it is not working in Google Chrome. I can, however, do this using Mozilla Firefox. Was having trouble with Safari so I thought I would try using different browsers. Does anyone know how to get Google Chrome to play nicely with my Garmin Oregon?
  6. Hello: A cacher suggested parking at N 41º 14.65 W 111º 55.95 It seems like I'm missing the last digit. How would these coordinates be different from N 41º 14.650 W 111º 55.950? Thank you for your help. TheRhythmClan
  7. Thank you. So if you click on "D" the easiest caches will be at the top of the list? And if you click it again the hardest caches will be at the top of the list? Actually, the first click puts the highest rated (hardest) caches at the top. The second click will reverse it so the lowest rated (easiest) are at the top. Keep in mind that sorting the Difficulty column to have the lowest difficulty ratings at the top doesn't necessarily mean those caches are overall the easiest. A difficulty 1 cache may have a terrain rating of 5, meaning that it's easy to find, but very difficult to get to. The easiest caches are rated 1/1. Thank you

  9. I just found a posting from Garmin in their own forums that indicates they have a version 4.0.1.1 beta available that's supposed to fix this connectivity problem, so you might try that instead of rolling back to v3: https://forums.garmin.com/showpost.php?p=122541&postcount=4 Yes, I downloaded the 4.0.1.1 beta and it seems to be helping. I seem to be able to download the caches to my GPS. Once it didn't work, but usually it does. Thanks for your help.
  10. When you use the "Hide & Seek" function and get a list of caches, what does "D & T" refer to? What does clicking "D" or "T" do? Thank you for your help, TheRhythmClan

  12. Thanks for your help. We don't use a software program. When we're on geocaching.com, we simply click download. This works with the MacBook, but when we do this on the MacBook Pro they don't seem to get to the etrex 10. The MacBook is running on 10.5.8 and the MacBook Pro is newer so it must have a later operating system. Thanks for your help.
  13. Hello: I can download caches from our MacBook to our E trex 10, but for some reason I can't download caches from our MacBook Pro. Can anyone help?
  14. Thanks for all of the good ideas. We did a search for "Girl Scout" caches and noticed there were a lot in Indiana where this TB originated. Those Hoosier Girl Scouts must really be in to geocaching. Alas, there were no Girl Scout Caches in Utah which is where we are. We'll just place it in a good place as Max & 99 suggested. Thank you.
  15. Hello: My son and I found a travel bug, and the individual that placed it suggested that it would like to travel to Girl Scout Cache. Is it possible to find Girl Scout Caches? If so, please tell. If not, we do know of a Cache that is called "Just for Girls" which seems like it would be appropriate.
