  1. Hi LWM I'm the one with the Datastorm Coins. I'm down to about 75 of the original 500 coins left, and I'm not interested in selling outside the Datastorm community, but single trades for interesting coins are always welcome. Best e-mail for me is donb@arcatapet.com (for those who wonder why I don't obfuscate my e-mail address, there's no point. Google shows 460,000 hits on that address )
  2. When clicking on a cache in GE to get details, I encountered an error. Sequence: Click on details, get the frame at the bottom which opens a web page; it tells me I'm not logged in (obviously a different cookie as it is IE and I normally use FF) so I login. When it returns to the cache page I get this script error: An error has occurred in the script on this page Line 2 Char 413 Error: 'YAHOO.util.Selector' is null or not an object Code: 0 URL: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?wp=GC1VAF5 This was repeatable, but not seen when opening that page in FF or a regular IE session.
  3. OK, I was waiting for some interest before putting together a page. You can find it here. That page has the download link, a copy of the screenshot, and instructions for program use.
  4. That one is certainly interesting, although it is more of a standalone for those who want to write their logs in the field. This screenshot will show what I have so far - it is my logs for today as you can see if you look at any of those caches:
  5. For my own purposes I've written a small (Windows only) program that allows me to add notes to the geocache_visits.txt file, so they are there when uploaded. Then it is a simple matter to right_click/open new tab for each log and bang-bang-bang submit them. Not sure if anyone else is interested (free)? Since it is for my own purposes, it is pretty quick and dirty. Loads the text file, and as you click on each cache it pulls a few lines from the .GPX file for memory-jogging purposes. At the moment, just lat/long, title, and cache size, but I could add more. Then there is a box to enter your note for that cache. When done, click Save, then click Upload to take you to the upload page. Hopefully we will eventually be able to add notes from within the Colorado, but since it is cumbersome to type anything with the device I suspect I will just make reminders to myself, and expand them later.
  6. In the past couple of weeks I've helped (or tried to help) 3 people join geocaching.com. In each case there have been ASP errors that keep the process from finishing. On the first two the problem occurred after the 2nd page. We discovered that the join actually occurred, and the new member was able to retrieve the confirmation e-mail and go on from there. The one I'm doing now fails after page 1, and the membership is not being created. It is a bunch of standard asp/dotnet error gobbeldygook - I can pass it on if you like, but it is mostly crypto-based in the form validation. We'll keep trying. I don't know how widespread the problem is, but the three attempts have been on the individual's own computers on completely different connections, so it is hard to spot an obvious commonality.
  7. I was running through the various US links at http://shop.Groundspeak.com/shipping.cfm and ran across some anomalies for geocachestore. The image and text link to www.geocachestore.com and that link says "This domain is currently expired." The text says www.geocachstore.com (missing e) which is a non-existent URL. Apparent typo, but probably not meaningful in light of the expired domain.
