  1. Oh, how I agree with you! There are many helpers like Reviewers and Translators, but probably not so many taking after the website. I also do NOT understand, why some retiring of icons has higher priority??? It´s a change solving NOTHING! And of course without possibility of taking back the old ones, because I don´t like the new ones. What I am suggesting is based on choice and personification. Every user should be able to choose, which features he wants. But when there are not there... There are many so complicated things in the website, which could be much more easier.
  2. Fine, thank you. However, why it is so complicated? It should not be problem, do it, how I have suggested. Many of users, what I know, are not satisfied with the website. So many cachers are there and the website is not corresponding with this fact. I can use some scripts, but there are many users, which are not so educated in work with computer, according to them the pages should be much less complicated, I think. And again, this is not such a big change, in well done source-code it should not takes more than five minutes to implement the bar as I suggested, and of course it could be disabled in user preferences somehow.
  3. I've been a software developer for over 30 years and have experience developing GIS and mapping application and would be hesitant about claiming to know the complexity of implementing a feature in a software application if I've never looked at the code. Actually, I also have experience with GIS (mapping servers and territorial analyses are theme of my master thesis) developing of websites and databases, maybe not so many experiences as you have, but enough to know, what you are talking about. I agree with you, but if their database is done skilfully, it should be just one small change in one SQL query on the database. It is already possible to change it in a listing of a cache. I really don´t know their code, but I suppose that easy possibility of implementing of new features is one of the basic attributes at developing of anything. This is not so much about the complexity of the implementing, but more about fact, that there are many suggestions to improve the (I thing very user-unfriendly) website and almost nothing has changed. The change what I have suggested is not only my idea. My personal opinions is, that the developers are either amateurs or they don´t care, or I don´t know... It is not a voluntary activity, they have money form premium members, I would excepted some kind of maintenance. I understand that not every suggestions can be implemented, I even do not wish that, because every user have different ideas. However that´s the reason, why the pages should be more "personalizable" and every user should have possibility of choice. I have other suggestions in other treads of this forum like this one: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=305183&st=0&gopid=5171167entry5171167 It should be also very easy to implement and who would not want it, there is nothing more easy than personalize that and do not use it.
  4. It´s different feature, than I have meant, but great idea, I think!
  5. Hi, let´s let it be, that the adding of a friend on Geocaching.com itself is strange. I suggest, that there can be more features connected with friends. I think the number of these features should not be overwhelming to prevent Geocaching becoming a copy of Facebook. However, I would welcome for example to see, if some of my friends already have found a cache in the listing of particular cache. It could be shown in the right column somewhere nearby Inventory, Bookmark Lists, My Bookmark Lists etc. Like for instance: "This cache have been already found by your fiends: ... [and list of these friends logged on this cache]" It can be all logs of friend on the cache included not only "I have found it" but also the others and it could be displayed by icons like on map. 6. It´s a possibility, but It should be implemented in Geocachoing pages and as was mentioned, it should not be so complicated to implement this feature.
  7. ... ok I see, and nothing has happened yet
  8. I totally agree with Neersianer. It´s almost a year!! What is so complicated with implementing such an easy feature??
  9. Hi, I suggest whether it is possible that the changed locations of mystery caches could show somehow on full screen map. I mean, when I change the coordinates it could be shown on the map also on correct location, maybe moreover with different color of icon. F-i-n-r-o-d
