  1. When I search for WI which is where I am at I don't appear but have more finds than others on the list. When I search under my user name it shows I have 37 finds when I actually have 67 finds. I figured it hasn't been updated but at the bottom of the page it reads that it is updated daily.... I guess this leaves me confused

  3. PWC is a personal watercraft or other known as jetski/waverunner. Many people who own boats hate them and this is the same way where there are people that own pwc's and drive responsible but it's a select few that give them a bad name. There's more but that is the basics and this a geocache site!!!!
  4. I'm beginning to feel like the PWC's of the land that a lot of people hate in the boating industry!
  5. Does anyone know of anyothers or if there is one for Wisconsin? Thanks for the feedback. These look really cool.
  6. James too funny. I meant to say that I have seen them here on the site but not in person.
  7. What are the Geocoins and where can you get them from? They look really nice and I have never seen one before.
  8. I did a search and didn't see anything on this but thought I did in the past.... Anyway has anyone used the log book from the Geocahe store and if so how is it? I'm looking for a way to log my finds. In the beginning I did nothing. After about 50 finds I started logging them on the PC in Word. Now I am finding that I don't have the time for that so I am thinking of logging while I am going but want something nicer than a plain notebook. Just curious on what or if you keep a personal log book.
  9. Sorry to hear about the cache. It's unfortunate that people will spoil it for others. My guess is a bunch of teens found it and thought it would be funny.

  11. Team 5-oh stole my thunder. Trolls/negative people live for upsetting you and want you to respond. If they post and you don't respond they will leave since no one will answer them. It's that simple.
  12. My thoughts are this being one that hates bushwhacking. First you could place in your hint or description that no bushwhacking is needed. This would let people know that they don't need to make their own trail. Also did someone follow an animal trail thinking it was the trail. I once followed an animal trail thinking it was the path to the cache. After 400 feet of crawling through heavy brush etc.. I found the cache. with a great big trail leading to it. Part of caching is you don't know what trail to take. If you come to a Y like I did you may take the wrong trail. I didn't turn back since I was almost to the cache. In my notes I placed what I did so others wouldn't. Also if the first person takes the wrong path others will follow. I feel the best thing is to place that there isn't bushwhacking involved. I've seen it for caches that have bushwhacking where they state you need to do it so this is the opposite. The other option is to place the cache where you know that it clearly shows bushwhacking isn't involved.
  13. There is a club call highpointers or highlanders... something along that line. It is a club that visits the highest sections in each state. They have it broken down to where you can buy pins etc. after reaching so many states. I have the website at work if anyone really wants the specifics but the idea has been done by others.
  14. I agree with this 100%. Typically I carry some good items with me worth a few bucks. Most times though I don't take or leave anything due to everything being junk in my opinion. I've seen used sunglasses, broken toys, tons of happy meal toys, etc. and don't care to trade for any of those. To me I like seeing places I haven't been before so I log my visit in the book and move on. I'm thinking of starting my own cache and this is my concern. I have some really cool items to place in the cache but don't want the cache to turn to junk so for now I have gone the travel bug route releasing some of those.
  15. I used to compete in Flyball with my Golden Retriever. With Geocaching I do the ones I can with him but most places don't allow dogs or too much bushwhacking so he stays home most of the time. I still consider us a team in life, competition, and playing so team golden carried over from that.

    TB Note

About half the bugs that I find are in bags. One bug I have found was in a make up bag with the name of the bug on it. Recently I have released a bug who will start in Alaska and come home to Milwaukee. I placed him in a make up bag with labels I made stating what the bug is. I copied Markwell's label for the most part making a few changes to keep the size smaller and have attached that to a tag which I laminated. I then 5 min. exopy the chain clasp closed so there is no way that someone won't know what this is...... Well ok that remains to be seen. Since he won't start his journey until mid August I have some time to kill to see if this works.
  17. I feel gulity if I have it for a week! My goal is in and out within a week. I did run into a problem where the cache couldn't be found so I went the next day to find one to drop it in.
  18. If I purchase the Topo software for my GPS Map76S can I place all of the caches I visited on the screen and can it keep a mileage log? When I say screen I am talking about the software not the GPS unit. Thanks for the info.
  19. I purchased my Map76S from the GPS store. I have no complaints what so ever. They were helpful and friendly and I would buy from them again. I checked Amazon just now and they are $60 more base price. With shipping 2nd day UPS for the unit, case and shipping I still saved $50 over Amazon.
  20. Thanks for the feedback. I didn't read this right and thought it was backwards on the unit. Thanks for setting the record straight.
  21. Team Golden is my 3 year old golden retriver and myself. Not very exciting I know.
  22. I can see the log now. Took ammo box left cheap toy! That's too bad that someone would do that.
  23. Has anyone found a fix for the MeMap screen so it isn't backwards?
  24. My Map76S which I bought from the GPS store reads around 2800 mph! Made me wonder since it was a new unit
