  1. I am going to be hidding a cache in May close to where a found dinasaur tracks a few years back...

Its also near indian rock art.... So even though its a long walk, and accessiable 98% of the year should bring a few searches, for all three. Cache, Dinasaur footprints, and Indian Rock art...

  2. I am setting up my caches now to be released soon...

I am carrying glue to add the materials from around where I am going to place cache...

Also carry como type and small cans of some basic paints and some animal hair(dont ask).

  3. Since I do a lot of photography, I carry my camera with me at all times...

I also wear my little yellow never fail me GPS around my neck in plain site..

A lot of cachers know about the yellow GPS and will introduce themselves... Non cachers leave me alone...

  4. Team_Talisman will not delete a DNF, even after we find it...

We use DNFs as a remember. It hones our skills to cache. We we have a pow wow, to see where we went wrong in the search. Then back out to find. Once we find we look back to reflect and prepare ourself better for the next cache hunt...

We are not sorry to say we goofed.....on the net. Log it and leave it logged and learn from it...

  5. Team_Talisman has a place we would like to hide a cache.....ok that sounds simple enough....

The Cache will be called Grallator...the first travel bug placed in it is a dinasuar called grallator(TB already registered)... again sounds simple now the questions appear...

Orginal thought was 500 feet or closer to Grallator tracks I found while looking for Indian Rock art. Most likely a 2.5/3.5 to 4 cache....

I have tried to contact people in the know if these tracks are recorded for this area, (dont want the tracks muggled). But no answers...

Should I keep up the search to see if these are recorded or just place the cache.....

  6. Its like Brian said about being family and friends...

Team_Talisman is made up of 28 members in which 22 are family members 4 or friends and 2 coworker/ friends... When we first strarted talking about geochaching back in January all agreed to go under the team name... Usually Dave and/or Lil are with the different members when they are caching...

We sign our logs, Like Dave, Vanessa and whoever... or Lil, Donovan and Connie from Team_Talisman

It was their chice to go that route....

  7. Team_Talisman consists(all family members) includes EMT. x-nurse(some lower certifications always renewd), Life Guards, Wildland fire fighters, first responders and WSI besides other certifications among the 7 of us. Not all of us go on cache hunts every time.

Thank goodness we live in a state that has a good samaritan law.

  8. Actually signals like horns, whistles and gun shots are a matter of choice for drawing attention...

As long as you can breathe whistles work for short distances, air horns in wilderness areas draw attention for a lot longer distance and every knows there are no semis in a wilderness, 3 gunshots for hunters seems to be a, help me, or find me.

I would say different areas calls for different means of "noise for help" devices....

  9. I would suggest you check this topic out and see if there is a difference in you and your friends caches than what this cachers are going through'''''''''''''''''''''''

Name of topic to review "Please Review Our Cache"

  10. After working on high power lines above and below ground, I feel it NOT cool to hide magnetic micros on Transformor boxes or near live electricity boxes lines and etc...

I just ask why some reviewers let this happen........

  11. I went out Sunday Night and set a micro and got up early to get it approved Monday morning... Before completely filling in form for approval, a police call came over the scanner...

The micro was located on what was tossed in a 90 foot narrow river canyon..... Darn

LOL maybe I should have posted it anyway, cache was only 20 foot away from coordinates horizontal and 90 foot down in water that is becoming spring run off of snowmelt...Would this be a 5/5 cache hehehehe

Object and micro has not been retrived yet.....
