  1. Streamlight Stinger Rechargable and Twin Task. The Twin Task uses 123A's which are very expensive unless you buy online. Why spend so much on a flashlight? Cause I Like Em
  2. When sound advice is given for a question asked I don't expect the next poster to chime in with **** No Sometimes I think people need to ask themselves If they would say something like that in person during a conversation.
  3. Geocoin forum guidelines # This forum may be used for selling, trading or giving away of geocoins which are trackable on Geocaching.com. The proceeds from a permitted coin sale can be used for any purpose, such as personal profit, support of a geocaching organization, or to benefit a charitable cause. # Links to Ebay sales of trackable geocoins are permitted, but only for unactivated coins or sales where the seller is the actual coin owner or the coin owner has granted explicit permission for the sale of their coin. # Those choosing to participate in an exchange on this board take full responsibility for any consequences of that exchange. Cross posting in the regional forum for specific regional coins will be permitted I'm sorry I didn't realize the poster was only interested in Geocoins that are trackable on geocaching.com Oh thats right he didn't say that did he. Did you inform the poster that to outright purchase a geocoin from the forums it must meet the above guidelines. No you didn't. Why Not?
  4. I'm a buyer for a utility company. As a side note if you need to take a nap I can help you along by going into details.
  5. Yes stay away from Ebay.Ebay is evil and should be destroyed. Do not look at the hundreds of listings for Geocoins from reputable sellers on Ebay. DO NOT DO THIS.

  7. I've been through Arkansas, I have to ask, did the officer wear his mirrored sunglasses with mirrors on the inside? All LEA's were issued a bulletin about Geocaching in 03 if I remember correctly. It has been discussed in the forums. It's handy to know, though if I remember the poster (a police officer) couldn't offer a link or specifics which would have been very helpful. Sorry to hear about you're arrest.
  8. I live in Tucson, AZ. Where else would I cache at? Really though desert caches are the only ones I go after. Some people enjoy urban micro's I like the varied terrian, great views and solitude the desert has to offer.
  9. I just put out my first cache today, a 7.62 ammo can. I noted on the cache page: Trade even, trade up or don't trade at all. I put some nice swag in their, but nothing overly pricey.
  10. Try Ebay. Search: Geocoin. As far as I can tell all geocoins are limited runs which means you have a (usually) short period of time to purchase them. Also USA Geocoin has a cool looking coin that is currently overdue, so it should be out anytime. You can sign up for their mailing list for notification when it goes on sale.
  11. Glass or Dash either way the RAM mount is the way to go IMO. I’ve seen and had some experience with the factory mounts not bad (except their suction cup ones). Anyway RAM makes quality stuff all the way from airplane GPS mounts to police equipment mounts. I researched this a fair bit to mount my Meridian on my sport/race quad. I can pick’em up and put’em down over rough(really rough) terrain w/ no problem's from the GPS at all.
  12. I'm glad to see the general opinion of the community members seem to be in favor of the person who put on this event. I hate to see forums where people nitpick each other over what basically amounts to nothing. All you accomplish with this type of behavior is to drive people away. I logged my first find today; my daughter (age 8) and I had a great time. This is also my first post although I’ve been reading them (lurking? ) for a few weeks. I'm also looking forward to attending a geocache event. I guess I'll have to watch the calendar. I would hate to see anyone discouraged from putting one on over the cost of a cup of coffee. Anyway later.......
