  1. It's been a while. The 5th International Math Trade just completed and I took some photos of the coins I received in the trade. I've also got photos from last year's Math Trade that I never posted here. Most of these pictures were done quickly and might not be that good, but they do show the detail of the coins pretty well. iCache V2 - Gold Caching Time Two-Tone 2008 Earth Turtle - Gold/Blue 2009 Antique Silver/Gold Compass Rose 2009 Polished Nickel/Gold Compass Rose 2008 Celtic Peacock Cosmolabe Geocoin Dragon Ladon Antique Gold on Nickel 2009 Earth Day Suncatcher
  2. Okay, here's the photo of the last of my received coins in this math trade. I got this Project G.A.M.E. geocoin in the mail Tuesday from Li-Z. I love spinning geocoins, and this one has a very intricate, interesting design. Thanks, Li-Z! And thanks for the pathtag too. Blue skies! Model Citizen - Zero Discipline
  3. I received my last math trade coin today from Li-Z. It's a Project G.A.M.E. coin. No time to take pictures tonight; I'm packing for a trip to a robotic competition tomorrow. I'll try to take a good picture when I get back next week. Thanks, Li-Z, for the fantastic coin! All coins received. All coins I sent have been received EXCEPT the one to Bennieboys. Has anyone heard from Bennieboys? I haven't seen any posts in this thread. Blue skies! Model Citizen - Zero Discipline
  4. Got another coin today. Just waiting for one more, and waiting for confirmation of delivery of one more coin that I sent out. Today's coin: Man vs Cache LE from FScout. I'm grilling some shish-ka-bobs this weekend. Maybe I can use this fire-starter coin to light the grill! Thank you for the trade, FScout! Blue skies! Model Citizen - Zero Discipline
  5. Three more coins were in my mailbox yesterday, but I got home too late to post. No coins today. Here's what arrived yesterday: Cosmolabe from *BAJO* Phoenix Rising from BennieBoys and Earth Day Suncatcher from BennieBoys Thanks, *BAJO* and BennieBoys, for the great trades! Blue skies! 6. No coins in my mailbox for the past two days. But today... Two more coins were waiting for me when I got home. A 2008 Gold and Blue Earth Turtle and a Black Nickel Nature's Night and Day from FamiliaSylvestre. Thanks a lot! I've been trying to get a 2008 Earth Turtle for a long time. 2008 Earth Turtle - Gold/Blue Nature's Night and Day - Black Nickel Thanks for the awesome coins! Blue skies! 7. I got home late tonight and found FIVE geocoins had been delivered; three coins from Turlutortue: a Stars of the North - Algol, a 2009 Compass Rose Polished Nickel/Gold, and a 2009 Compass Rose Antique Silver/Polished Gold, a Celtic Peacock from Anne.and.Eli, and a Dragon Ladon Antique Gold on Nickel from The 4 F's, Thanks everyone, for the great coins! Sorry about all the pictures, but the coins look so amazing I just had to photograph them and share. Blue skies! Model Citizen - Zero Discipline
  8. I've got a Mississippi 9-9-9 coin I could trade to you. I used to live in Washington, so I'd be willing to swap my Mississippi for a Washington 9-9-9. Blue skies! Model Citizen - Zero Discipline The Mississippi 9-9-9 Multi-Event geocoin will be mailed to you Tuesday when the Post Office opens. Thanks for the trade, Bo.T.L.! Blue skies! 9. Thanks. I used a Nikon D70 digital SLR with a 90mm macro lens. A little post-processing, and voila! Blue skies! Model Citizen - Zero Discipline
  10. Well, once again, just like last year, Mauison got his coin to me FAST! I got my first mailer from him today with an antique silver and blue Journey coin in it. First thing I did was stick it under the camera and take a picture. Thanks for the great coin, Mauison! Blue skies! Model Citizen - Zero Discipline

  12. Thirteen geocoins will be mailed out tomorrow to Canada, Switzerland, Germany, The Netherlands, Australia, Hawai'i, and the continental US. Blue skies and happy caching! Model Citizen - Zero Discipline
  13. No, my want list is much more extensive than that. That was just a simple, pared down example to illustrate my question.
  14. I've got a *complicated* question about variables. Let's say I created the following variables: (ModelCitizen) %DragonLadonV1 : 414 479 645 646 942 (ModelCitizen) %DragonLadonAll : %DragonLadonV1 478 647 648 Now, for my Nocturnal (777) I'll take any Dragon Ladon. But for my Planisphere coin (781) I'll only accept a Version 1 Dragon Ladon. So I make the following want list: (ModelCitizen) 777 : %DragonLadonAll (ModelCitizen) 781 : %DragonLadonV1 Here, finally, is my question: If the algorithm picks a non-Version 1 Dragon Ladon for my Nocturnal coin, does that lock me out of getting a Version 1 Dragon Ladon for my Planisphere coin? In other words, if the %DragonLadonAll variable is matched, and it contains %DragonLadonV1, does that mean that the %DragonLadonV1 group is finished and won't be matched? Ow! My head hurts.
  15. Wow! I just got back last night from riding the Dragon - again. This time I was participating in DragonBall '09. A bunch of S2000 owners get together twice a year to drive the Dragon, the Cherohala Skyway and other local roads. This year we had around fifty S2000's show up. I've driven and ridden the Dragon many times, usually on my sportbike, and it's always a blast! I would love to get a couple of "Cache the Dragon" geocoins. If you run out, do you think you'll be willing to do a remint? Blue skies and happy caching! Model Citizen - Zero Disicpline
  16. Absolutely beautiful photos, dimkasmir! Thanks so much for posting. Do you have any photographic tips to share? Blue skies and happy caching! Model Citizen - Zero Discipline

  18. Great Tiki photos, 57 Chevy. I've always liked the look of those but have never gotten one. Maybe I can snag one in the next International Math Trade. I tried again, and here's some better pictures of Crake's 2006 Suncatcher - Cool version. Blue skies and happy caching! Model Citizen - Zero Discipline
  19. Got the Cool version of Crake's 2006 Suncatcher geocoin done too. The Cool version for some reason was a lot harder to photograph than the Warm version. I'm still not happy with the Cool photos and may try again before I release the coin. Blue skies and happy caching! Model Citizen - Zero Discipline
  20. It's been a while, but I'm getting ready to send another coin or two out to travel. This time it's Crake's 2006 Suncatcher geocoin, Warm and Cool. Here are my pictures of the Warm version. Blue skies and happy caching! Model Citizen - Zero Discipline
  21. I just figured the miles and caches for 17 of my missing coins. I have a lot more missing coins but got tired of doing the analysis at 17 coins. Average miles: 2301 Average caches visited before going missing: 8 Blue skies and happy caching! Model Citizen - Zero Discipline
  22. More bad news. This sucks! Too many people around me are having accidents. Here's the email I got yesterday concerning one of my skydiving buddies. _____________________________________________________________ From: paul ***** Sent: Tuesday, May 21, 2009 5:31 PM Subject: Tony Collado I just got a call from Tony’s wife Chantel that he was in a motorcycle accident on Saturday. It appears that he blacked out for some unknown reason and hit a telephone pole. He has some pretty serious injuries including loss of 5” of his Femur above the knee and some fractured vertebrae. His spirits are good except he realizes he may never skydive again. Another surgery is scheduled for Thursday to install plates in his leg. If you contact information at the hospital he is registered as Eduardo “Tony” Collado. He is in University Hospital , 2021 Perdido St . in New Orleans. His room number is *** (in 6 east ward) and phone to room is *** ***-****. Here is the link for directions and information http://www.mclno.org/mclno/menu/ I will post more info. as it becomes available ______________________________________________________________ Please say a prayer for Tony and his family during this crisis. I don't know what's going on lately, but it appears it's not safe being a friend of mine right now. I'm about to head out the door to drive to Geowoodstock VII, so everyone keep your distance. I'm a walking disaster area. You've been warned! Ride safe, everyone! Stay conscious! Don't ride when you're not feeling well! MC/ZD
  23. Email sent. I hope I made it in time. Now off to the drop zone for a full day of skydiving. It's a beautiful day for it! Model Citizen - Zero Discipline
  24. I can't believe I've been roped in too! I got my black bubble mailer a couple of weeks ago and have just been waiting for some free time to take some photos before posting. The coin the Geo_Bandit sent me is number 309. It's green on one side, yellow on the other, and black nickel all over. It sure looks great. I love black nickel coins. My favorite part of this coin though is the translucent enamel over the detailed metal. When I eventually make a personal coin of my own you can bet it will have translucent enamel on it. Thanks so much, Geo_Bandit! For someone that isn't very active on the geocoin forum (I lurk and read the forum a lot, but hardly ever post anything) I consider myself very fortunate to have received one of these beautiful coins. Geo_Bandit, your generosity is much appreciated! Thanks for providing me with some smiles! Blue skies and happy trails! Model Citizen - Zero Discipline
  25. Thanks for the tribute to my friend Jerry Pates on your geocoin's page, Snowball58! Ride paranoid! Model Citizen - Zero Discipline
