  2. I have a Garmin Emap that is in great condition and works just fine, just an older model but it still works fine for geocaching. Comes with serial cable to load from computer. $50 plus shipping or less then $60 shipped.

  8. Well thanks for asking, I did purchase 2 of these and donated them to the local Boy Scout Troop to sell in a raffle to raise funds to offset some of their expenses for the year.

  11. kwhart When you hit the "where to" icon then scroll to second page, there should bean option to hit "coordinates". The listed numbers will be your current location, you have hit them to edit the coordinates and then hit "goto"
  12. There is a single cable available for around $10 that has the USB connector and the Etrex connector, no need for separate serial to USB adapter. Just do a search on Ebay
  13. The bonus part of using the Garmin Nuvi is using GSAK you can load the caches into it, then just select the one you want to travel to next and it will take you there via the local roads. You can also look at the details and it also loads the details from each cache and makes for a paperless caching unit. Of course I don't use mine in the woods but I could, I use it to get me to closest spot on the road then look for best way from there.

I am not the "price police" I am someone who shops around and do price checks before I buy and I also share my knowledge with others for free. chrisandvern and Damin69 are no more then thieves in the night, wanting to take advantage of others.   21. Do you have a serial port to connect the original OEM cord? Then you will need a USB to serial adapter cord. Look on Ebay (do a search for it) they will run $10 to $20, much cheaper then OEM from Garmin.

  24. Did you check on Ebay? you will also need a USB to Serial adapter if your computer doesn't have serial port.
