Car GPS with ability to put in Coordinates...
rayt333 replied to SteveSquirrel's topic in GPS technology and devices
The bonus part of using the Garmin Nuvi is using GSAK you can load the caches into it, then just select the one you want to travel to next and it will take you there via the local roads. You can also look at the details and it also loads the details from each cache and makes for a paperless caching unit. Of course I don't use mine in the woods but I could, I use it to get me to closest spot on the road then look for best way from there. -

still there for $219.99 Garmin® GPSMAP 60CSX Bundle It is the "bundle" that is on sale, not the GPS alone http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/template...rm23&Go.x=0
-
I was just pointing out the fact it was selling cheaper now, I sure hope you weren't wanting to take advantage of a fellow cacher. I am not the "price police" I am someone who shops around and do price checks before I buy and I also share my knowledge with others for free. chrisandvern and Damin69 are no more then thieves in the night, wanting to take advantage of others. I am proud to say I am not like you lowlifes.

Do you know you can buy a Garmin 60CSX brand new in box for $219? # Includes a 64MB data memory card for extra storage # Bundle includes unit, TOPO 2006 DVD and carrying case http://www.cabelas.com/ Then do a search for it.

I just got a sale paper from Cabels and it has the Garmin 60CSX on sale for $219.99 and includes Topo 2008. It is not online but in the stores

If you are in tree cover then you would be much happier with the Venture over the older "H" models
-
How about a new in box Garmin eTrex Venture HC GPS Receiver for $117 with free shipping http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000PDR230/ref=pe...270680_pe_ar_d1

Do you have a serial port to connect the original OEM cord? Then you will need a USB to serial adapter cord. Look on Ebay (do a search for it) they will run $10 to $20, much cheaper then OEM from Garmin.
-
I don't know how much you paid for this originally but it is available right now for less then $250 with full warranty, they say refurbished but they are still same as brand new. http://www.pcnation.com/web/details.asp?af...amp;item=0833AA
