  1. You certainly do Which is fair enough. I will do that. It'll've slipped through.
  2. I agree with the OP; however, I have actually logged 2 SBAs on caches but they’re still active and both caches are missing. One, whose owner hasn’t logged on since June, I requested to be archived at the beginning of November; the other I requested to be archived two months ago and again there’s no change. I realise the reviewers do what they can – and that we don’t see the communications that occur – but I also think that over 8 weeks is too long to leave a cache in limbo. I can’t see why they can’t be archived sooner and then the onus is on the owner to re-activate them if they want. The major problem with these 2 caches is that they are still active.
  3. But, but, I thought your name was "Sprinting"!
  4. A worthy congrats thread indeed. Nice one, Mandy. Well done to you, Wendy. Look forward to seeing you on the box!
  5. The point of the list, though, is that the caches haven't been visited and aren't attracting any cachers no matter what's in them. They do need moving, hence the word "travel" in TB
  6. Very fast response , but the link to "The real O2J"'s post in Alice Band's OP implies to me that O2J aren't over-chuffed about it. That they have edited the log twice and still sound miffed is a giveaway.
  7. Personally I think it's appalling and I'd demand they stopped it and archived the caches. I think el reviewer should have a word.
  8. And you'll have to come to t'pub and show it off!
  9. Maintenance might be a problem though Athough there are a surprising number of people in this world who think that that sort of thing is possible. ( too)
  10. I run too! Actually there's a FTF near(ish) us today. Race you? <gets coat, GPSr, dog...>
  11. I must say I was delighted with the response I got to my last mission to rescue umpteen travel bugs in the northeast. Looks for "sarcastic" smiley.
  12. I love that!!
  13. Emily has one of her many martial arts classes that night in Sunderland so it's probably a "no" for me. Although I may be able to do a mad dash to get there for a few minutes: depends on the timing.
  14. Because it's all about the numbers
  15. You have to search through the paper and find something that actually constitues news.....amazed it only took john an hour
  16. What? "A Momentary Lapse of Reason", perhaps
  17. You're probably going to get people who whinge about things like this but, at the end of the day, it's up to you. It seems like a good way of keeping a record the way you want to do it although mileage statistics are available on various sites. Go for it, I say. Logging it in and out means that no-one'll be expecting to actually find it in a cache so no harm done.
  18. The article was in "The Daily Mail". You don't actually think it's true, do you?
  19. I use this site and I've never had a problem. Edited for pour spellong
  20. But whatever you do, don't put a 7 part multi in an SSSI site without noticing the restriction. Like wot I done the other day.
  21. I don't know why you're getting excited about the prospect of getting a new etrex if THAT'S the condition for it. If you were to get a GPSr with mapping, you don't have to use that function. The 60Csx enables you to just view the little arra without faffing about with maps. Obviously there's the price to consider. Not sure if the H is better/same as the 60 but knowing your love of trees, you'd better go for the best.
  22. Not sure whether this forum's the right place for offering rewards; you may get a beasting from the mods Who am I to know, though?
  23. I used to be able to prove that statistical tool (and others) when I was fresh out of my stats degree not so long ago. I wouldn’t remember where to start now. Shame. I agree, though, I had a puzzle cache based on atomic weights and the final coordinates were actually numbers given by the atomic weights of some compounds that you had to work out from a chemical reaction. Admittedly it was googlable(sp), but it was stupid, although some people got it. It was when a professional chemist was asking for help that I decided I was being rather smarmy about it and changed it to a multi. It’s still enough of a challenge.
  24. I was wondering what a "geocache type" treasure hunt was too. But I was afraid to ask.
