  1. I'm sure there is considerable interest in the Silver coins. Until I get a better count from the others in our NEW buying group, I'd guess we would be interested in around a dozen of the Silver coins. As for trackability, if I were to get a silver geocoin in my possession, I certainly wouldn't let it loose in the hopes that it would travel from cache to cache and person to person. IMHO, it just wouldn't happen. Sooo, making it trackable on GC.COM would just be a waste of money. However, I WOULD have them numbered anyway so that each one is unique. If trackability is really desired there are other, cheaper ways of doing it. Since, I wrote the software to track the UTAG Geocoins, I dare say that with a little encouragement and incentive, I could change it so that it would also track your Wyoming coins, too. Right now, it is written specifically for the UTAG coins but it wouldn't be too hard to allow both. It's just a thought in case you're interested in that option. --SirGerald
  2. Our NEW geocoin buying group, COin Order Liaison (or COOL), will be planning on buying around 35 (for now). This includes nearly a dozen already mentioned by members of our group who have already posted above. Did I say we're a NEW group? --SirGerald
  3. Our new geocoin buying group, COin Order Liaison (or COOL), will be ordering around 35, for now. Actually, this number includes a few already mentioned in previous posts by individuals in the group (we're just getting organized). --SirGerald
  4. We are in the first stages of putting together a Geocoin Buying Group here in Utah. We will probably be making a bulk order. Quantity to be determined but right now looks to be around 35. Several of the people in the group have already expressed an interest in this coin and their individual orders will be replaced by our bulk order. Confused yet?
  5. I'll add my request for a separate Geocoin Forum. It only makes sense, especially given the GROWING popularity of geocoin collecting and trading. --SirGerald
  6. I see many people saying they've sent an email with their order but I can't find where the email should be sent. Please let me know. Otherwise, please put me down for 3 regular and 1 silver coin. --SirGerald
  7. I'd like to get 3 coins, too. --SirGerald
  8. Put me down for 5 coins, as well. Be sure to let me know when payment is required.
  9. I finally got my $23 sent via Paypal for my 5 coins. They look great. I can hardly wait to get them. Thanks.
  10. It looks like you're still taking orders. I'd like to order 3 coins, please. Be sure to let me know when the money is needed. --SirGerald
  11. I'd like to pre-order 5 coins. Just let me know when the money is needed. --SirGerald
  12. I'll take 5 metal coins and 10 wooden nickles. Let me know when money is required. The designs really look great. --SirGerald
  13. Please put me on your list for 5 coins. Let me know when money is needed. --SirGerald
  14. Please add me to the list for 5 coins. Let me know when money is needed. --SirGerald
  15. All I see are offers to trade. Will any be available for purchase? If not, I'd love to trade one of our new (on order) UTAG geocoins. --SirGerald
  16. Shop99er, I don't have a personal coin but I'd like to trade one of my new Utah Association of Geocachers (UTAG) coins for one of yours. Our coins are on order and have not been delivered yet. You can see the design here. --SirGerald
  17. Is there a problem with emails? I've not been receiving notification of logs to my caches and travel bugs lately. Many of my caches are virtuals and require visitors to email me information from the cache. I'm missing most (if not all) of these emails recently. That's not good since I need to reply to each of them. I'm also not getting notification of logs to my travel bugs. Do I need to "watch" my own caches and travel bugs now? Or is there some other problem? Feeling frustrated. --SirGerald
  18. I came across this forum the other day and thought it would be a pretty good idea. I'm just a "newbie" at geocaching, but I am really enjoying it a lot. It's a really fun way to get some exercise that I sorely need. Anyway, for my two cents worth, I like the idea of having one statewide organization made up of Northern and Southern (and Central?) groups that would have their own leadership. Since geography separates us all so much, it would make more sense to have localized organizations of people that have more in common and have a much greater chance of getting together on a regular basis. The local groups would then combine into a statewide organization for the benefits stated previously (lobbying, ets.) Anyway, that's just my humble opinion. I will certainly try to attend the get-together whenever and wherever it ends up, if at all possible. As far as location goes, I'd support a geographically central location for this first meeting. Then, if local organizations are set up, future meetings can be localized. We certainly don't want to alienate ANYONE, but there is just no way to accomodate EVERYONE. -- SirGerald
