  1. Check out your nearest TSC store. I dunno, but it might be Kitchener for you. TSC usually has chains available whenever I visit one.
  2. These are sold quite inexpensively on Ebay. Just do a search.
  3. On this point, I whole heartedly agree. I would take a 15 y/o friend along to do the agility portion of a cache if I thought my aging old body wouldn't manage the hardest parts. So, as to other suggestions, my take would be that a coupon, or a gift card for the liquor, would be a suitable substitution. That takes the ultimate liability off you as the giver, and puts it directly on whomever redeems the coupon.
  4. I took a look at the listing, and even though it is archived, you still have a needs maintenance on it. Duh!

    Base map

I got it for you. Boot up the Legend and go to the map page. Toggle left, enter, scroll to Setup Map, enter, toggle to the right, the big i, then toggle down the list of maps, clicking each one off that shows.
  6. That is a great article, Keith. I tend to agree with the idea that talking GPS is a fantastic tool for the blind. As one commenter on the article wrote, "Don't let the gov't bureaucrats decide that thousands of dollars is the price when reliable units are now available for under $300.
  7. The 60cx will accept up to a 2 gig card, which is enough for all of Canada from Metroguide
  8. I assume you mean Canadian largest? If so, I know the answer. If you mean world largest, our contender has comes in second to Michigan in size.

    Question

Actually, most cachers are wrong in assuming that they can only trade one for one. I would check with the owners of bugs in your planned caching route and inquire if they want them moved, in which case, feel free.
  10. Well, if I broach the subject by bringing the flare of my International 14 into the leeway of this thread, I would be half right. I guess sailing is not the answer, or I am out of date on terminology.
  11. Nope! Can't think of anyone that has the CN in stock. Try garmin.com and see their list of Canadian retailers, or just buy it through the site. BTW, City Navigator is the best mapping I have seen yet. I run it on top of Ibycus topo (free), and everything is available in that combination.
  12. I can't answer for sure, but all 5 of my Garmins picked up the new time at the correct time this fall. Mind you, I have updated firmware installed on all of them.
  13. North Bay Geocachers Assoc managed 14 physical attendees, with 11 geo handles. Same here, with threatening weather, but I'm not so sure about COG sending it your way, Landsharkz. It seems your weather is headed this way, as per usual. On another note, one attendee made an offhand comment about seeing if the simultaneous caching events would interest Guinness book of records. Why don't we try for something like that next time? You know, how many registered attendants at how many geo-events, at the same time?
  14. I did one this spring that was listed as a multi. Find the first film can, and the new co-ords were 5 feet away, find the second, and the new co-ords were another 5 feet. Of course, I gave up on opening the rest of the film cans and looked at the other end of the branch, and there was the final.
  15. Baggie and I hope to see you there Ditto!
  16. Oh, Jeez, should we change the title of this thread yet?
  17. You are just as welcome to stay here too, Dale. C'mon, let's make this a party to remember.
  18. M3J, start the planning now, and I could almost guarantee having a mega event in Ontario next year. As far as I'm concerned, the election is over before the nominations start.
  19. OK, stop overnight in the Near North Ontario. I can accommodate up to 10 overnight before the last 5 1/2 hours to Kitchener/Waterloo.
  20. Now, for an even bigger laugh..........Who is going to be the one to set up the "mega" event in Waterloo?
  21. Thanks for jumping in, Jeremy. It's nice to know we still get noticed, way out here in the snow country.
  22. Woo hoo! A search of the GPS Adventures Maze page has turned up this!
  23. Right track, wrong amount! The correct answer would be a factor of 5:1 with a 20 degree difference, making the actual snowfall 2cm. Take it away, Couperangus.
  24. -20 is cold enough to freeze the cloud though - Essentially it turns into a giant frozen lake and falls crushing anyone unfortunate enough below. I would say that there would be 0cm of SNOWfall Both wrong. Sorry! Think density, as in the previous question.
