  1. Jamie, If you have a look on youtube and search creative cachehound or go to www.creativecachehound.com you will see the sort of field puzzles and caches I make. I am limiting how many more I place as I think maintaining 200 will be enough work but I have ideas for more caches and am looking for someone who wants to place and maintain them and let me know GC number so I can add to my watchlist and enjoy the logs. Mark
  2. Hello to any New cachers in the Norwich Norfolk area If you want to be adopted by me let me know. I have found most of the caches in walking distance of City centre and have hidden nearly 200. Mark aka StickBouncer
  3. I agree with you and I enjoy the logs I get although TFTC and cut and paste do sometimes get frustrating. That is why I hide good caches. But wish there was a way to up the quality of hides( I loath magnetic nano containers and finding a series of film canisters can get tiresome). I am not interested in league tables or being the best only the best i can be. I think the idea of quality points is worth considering as it will give a more accurate idea of the cache. Some of my caches only get found once or twice a year and so not many fav points where as a different cache that is found more often can accumulate more fav points so the first that got a point off the 2 people who found it in a year appears less desirable than the one that got 5 points off the 20 people that found it
  4. I know I have not been caching for long (20 months)but due to mental health problems I am only able to walk or cycle to caches unless I use public transport, which is generally too expensive, or get a lift with another cacher. As a result apart from a few nemesis caches I have found all I can. To ease my caching addiction I started placing caches and making my own puzzles and fun caches of which I am now approaching 200 hides. Recently I have been thinking about this, If people like myself did not go to the trouble of hiding and maintaining there would be no caching as there would be nothing to look for. I wonder if Groundspeak could introduce milestones for number of caches hidden the same as for finding in recognition of the work done by hiders. Carrying on with that thought why not introduce a scoring system so that all finders could score their cache experience out of 10 this could then be averaged and shown on the cache page so that finders would have an idea of the quality of the cache this would also encourage hiders to think about the quality of the overall experience their new cache may bring and of course encourage greater maintenance. Just my thoughts what do you think???
  5. Only a lack of knowledge. ie I do not know how to
  6. Hi again, It seems I am having the same problem with pictures on my latest cache release Losing MY Religion Digital Remaster Some times the images appear and sometimes they do not even on the same computer using the same browser. This is how I entered the html for the whole page <center><img src="http://sitebuilder.yola.com/restricted_view/site_design/8a4986c839213a4f013926b1afd37e0a/resources/coollogo_com-14411473.gif?cacheStamp=1382564316486" /></center> <p>This is the farewell tour for this series as I think I have ran out of Churches now. During this adventure you will visit or pass the sites of more of Norwich's lost Churches.</p> <p>To solve the last 2 stages you will need a <font color="purple">UV light</font>. Except for the last 2 stages and the final everything is wheelchair and buggy friendly The penultimate stage is up a steep slope and the last stage involves climbing a few steps. As said earlier the final will need teamwork or special equipment.</p> <p>At the given co-ordinates</p> <center><img src="http://sitebuilder.yola.com/restricted_view/site_design/8a4986c839213a4f013926b1afd37e0a/resources/qrcode.17722065.png?cacheStamp=1382605744877" /><br /> Answer = <strong>F</strong></center> <br /> at second location<br /> <center><img src="http://sitebuilder.yola.com/restricted_view/site_design/8a4986c839213a4f013926b1afd37e0a/resources/qrcode.17722124.png" /><br /> Answer = <strong>B</strong></center> <br /> <br /> At third and forth location identify which photos were taken at the location to find the digit <table width="100%" border="0"> <tr> <td align="center"><img src="http://sitebuilder.yola.com/restricted_view/site_design/8a4986c839213a4f013926b1afd37e0a/resources/PA240023.JPG.opt836x627o0%2C0s836x627.JPG" width="134" height="100" /></td> <td align="center"><img src="http://sitebuilder.yola.com/restricted_view/site_design/8a4986c839213a4f013926b1afd37e0a/resources/PA240026.JPG.opt836x627o0%2C0s836x627.JPG" width="134" height="100" /></td> </tr> <tr> <td align="center"><strong>9</strong></td> <td align="center"><strong>3</strong></td> </tr> </table> <table width="100%" border="0"> <tr> <td align="center"><img src="http://sitebuilder.yola.com/restricted_view/site_design/8a4986c839213a4f013926b1afd37e0a/resources/PA240025.JPG.opt836x627o0%2C0s836x627.JPG" width="134" height="100" /></td> <td align="center"><img src="http://sitebuilder.yola.com/restricted_view/site_design/8a4986c839213a4f013926b1afd37e0a/resources/PA240024.JPG.opt836x627o0%2C0s836x627.JPG" width="134" height="100" /></td> </tr> <tr> <td align="center"><strong>0</strong></td> <td align="center"><strong>6</strong></td> </tr> </table> <p>Third Location = <strong>C</strong> Forth location =<strong>E</strong><br /> <br /></p> <p>at fifth location</p> <center><img src="http://sitebuilder.yola.com/restricted_view/site_design/8a4986c839213a4f013926b1afd37e0a/resources/lwufy2ke.jpg.opt836x121o0,0s836x121.jpg" /><br /> Answer = <strong>A and D</strong></center> <br /> <br /> your next location is <strong>N52 37.ABC E001 18.DEF</strong><br /> <br /> anyone who has completed all 5 multis in this series can now display this badge on their profile page<br /> <center><img src="http://sitebuilder.yola.com/restricted_view/site_design/8a4986c839213a4f013926b1afd37e0a/resources/66602e79-5504-472e-a1cc-f6edaeb55a38.png" /><br /></center> Please can one of you clever people out there tell me in VERY simple terms how to correct it so the images show up for everyone all the time. The images are on my yola site creativecachehound.com
  7. That is fantastic. Love it!! I was just struggling on Paint trying to think ideas and flipped back to forum to find just what I was looking for. Many thanks. Can you help me with next bit. As I understand it I need to upload this to either flicker or my web site then I can copy the location is that the next step?
  8. I need help either creating the badge image or understanding how to create a badge myself and I need help create the HTML for others to use to display the image on their profiles or understanding how to do this.
  9. Hi, I Have a series of multis set around the lost medieval Churches of Norwich UK. They are Losing My Religion First Verse Losing My Religion Second Verse Losing My Religion Yiddish remix Losing My Religion Cover Version Losing My Religion Digital Remaster They are all slightly different and the last one is a 5/5 T/D What I would like to do is give anyone who finds all of them and in doing so visits the sites of all the lost Churches within the city walls a badge that they can paste on their profile. I have seen it done before and indeed have one "Going for Gold" on my profile but not being either an artist nor computer whiz I have no idea how to go about it. Please help and if anyone could produce one for me that would be amazing. I think it has to be done so that it can be cut and pasted using HTML codes but Honestly I have no idea. Thanks
  10. Seems like GC hamsters may have somehow now put this right for me as the HTML codes have been changed. Please let me know if there are still any problems. Many thanks for all the help and advice
  11. I have very little idea what all that means. except the bit about the word here which I have now removed. This is how I entered the first 2 photos <td align="center"><img src="http://img.geocaching.com/cache/log/large/bef5f667-1288-4c40-ba05-8e6126e9f839.jpg" width=" height=" /></td> <td align="center"><img src="http://img.geocaching.com/cache/log/large/2ea6fb2c-b46f-4d07-bfd8-697277273426.jpg" width=" height=" /></td> Please could you tell me where the error is. Nowhere have I said or even implied that the problem was woth Groundspeak. I have refreshed my browser and still see the photos. I have, as said earlier asked other cachers and have received this helpfull answer from Mattishall Marauders on EACachers forum. "Have just had a quick look and everything seems fine using Firefox and Chrome. However, when I tried using Internet Explorer, the pictures were not there. So it may be a case of trying a different browser. Hope this helps." Also "No problems here..." from eusty's on GAGB forum So for some the photos are there and not there for others? The photos with their numbers can be viewed at http://www.flickr.com/photos/stickbouncer/sets
  12. I have just had my GC4PQZE Multi-cache Losing My Religion - Cover Versions which is a photo trail where finders have to go 8 co-ordinates and see which photo was taken from that location. if they are correct this will lead to the location of the final and log book. My problem is I and some other cachers can see the required pictures when viewing the cache page but some cachers have reported that they are unable to see the photos and thus can not complete the cache. I guess the reviewer could see them in order to publish the cache. I wrote the page using HTML codes and the photos are published on my flicker page and I down loaded them to the cache page gallery. The reviewer has since removed the logs that I downloaded them with and they are no longer displayed in the gallery. Any ideas what is going wrong and more importantly how do I fix it. PLEASE HELP if you can.
  13. Bouncer and Trip have told me that we must enter. They are now sleeping on ideas. Watch out Norfolk!! and for those anywhere else in the country Norfolk is the big sticky out bit on the right.
