Micro to regular cache
housefamily replied to The Mighty Shark's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
I can't see a problem with it. If the cache has changed sufficiently, you might like to invite people to log it again! You're not bowing to 'anti-micro' peer pressure are you?? -
Well, if people haven't even signed the log book (or given an excellent excuse why not) - I'd be happy myself to delete the online log. Depends on how many there are - but I'm sure an email to each of them explaining the situation would diffuse any bad-feeling.

I think I can spot the problem here. Journalists? Trust me. They know nothing Well, most of them anyway.

Still pants round near me in Aylesbury, Bucks - bit like the after effects of a night drinking blackcurrant lemsip! -
Dummy Mobile Phone laying around your house?
housefamily replied to Alibags's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
Hmm. I know we have one, but I have absolutely no idea where it is! If I can find it, count us in!! -
Woohoo! Nice one guys! Well done!

Wow. My flabber is well and truly gasted. Where do you all find the time?
-
I've just had a cacher called 'theblack' log one of my Round Aylesbury Walk series as their 600th cache. Nothing amazingly spectacular about that, except that they've found those 600 caches in just over a year! That's over 1.5 caches each and every day. I'm quite impressed, and slightly embarrased about our own leisurely pace I'm sure somebody'll know if this is this a record, or if not, who has beaten it... Geoff P.S - a very quiet congratulations to theblack for 600 caches(!)

How about promising to shut your eyes and wear a wig...

In ever increasing circles, apparently! Things are a bit busy at the moment but I'll have a chat with Mrs HF.

Cache Event, Reading Berkshire

Or make sure you use a very soft one... -
I'd happily offer, but not having done it (yet) I'm not really in a position to do so... Sorry!
-
But won't all the small parts slowly re-enter the atmosphere and get burnt up? Also - if they took out the TV satellites, I'd be out of a job!

...and not a micro in sight!
housefamily replied to FollowMeChaps's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
I know it seems unlikely, but SP can verify that last week I actually used a plastic box for transporting food!! It seemed wrong to fill it with a home-made garlic and onion dip, and not a pile of trinkets. -
A very muddy and happy man... Well done Paul. A huge milstone! And before the end of the year, too! Congratulations!

Brilliant. Nice one! I notice some of your finds last year were in Canada. I didn't know you were going there - why didn't you say? -
Well done to DRC on finding his 400th cache - and a First to Find too!! Congratulations!
-
Edit: didn't read the question (result of 5 hours sleep!)

On Noooo! It's a Congratulations thread!

For creating a fireball? Definitely.

A plonker with a sock puppet account
housefamily replied to 2202's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
I was just giving them the benfit of the doubt, but I agree, the tone of the log is not nice. Does this sort of thing happen regularly? I heard about 'sock puppets' when I first started caching last year, but people don't seem to complain about them that often. Sorry! I wasn't condoning the log, just hoping that it might be something more innocent. Geoff -

I think if you'd really done that cache, you'd have something else to say. And you wouldn't forget the bizarre sight that you'd seen either! (not that I've done it yet, but I've passed the location many times!) Sounds a bit suspicious, but they might just be confused. -
Find a baby to give it to?
-
I'm not sure how other people use them, but I like to put the first paragraph of the description into the short description box. It doesn't really make any difference to the layout of the cache page anyway. Something like 'A short multi cache set around the Buckinghamshire village of Westcott' perhaps... but then again you don't have to!
