  1. Wow, could it be my lucky wednesday Why Yes it is Geo.Error! Congratulations!
  2. I think that coins now a day are becoming so commercial that when you find one like this that was actually given that "personal" touch, it actually looks absolutly beautiful. It is ok for a guy to say "beautiful" right? I had won one of 007BigDs' "April fools" coins and even though it is what it is, I really like it and it became one of my 2 favorite coins. Why? Because he made it with his own hands. I know it is not "trackable" but it is worth more than any coin that is! To me anyway. I hope to see more like your coin that you bought RedShoesGirl, it is a nice one!
  3. I think alot of the time people do not post what they are thinking in a whole do to the fact they are afrraid to be "OT" or that the conversation that is not about geocoins will told by a MOD that they are moving it to the Off-topic forum. I for one would really like it if people really did have a nice little conversation and be able to get to know one-another. Instead of the half sentence replies. Which I will admitt I am guilty of just as I think everyone is. And I have partaken in cointest that I've probably abused my posting privelege. I have seen alot of people here help out greatly with different guestions people have and some of the "Old Timers" that seem to ignore any noob that posts. Having posted your "rank" in the hierarchy of the forums already says to some one that they are the "untouchables" of the forums. Some people are Intimidated by that. To me, well we all breathe the same air, and in the end we all end up as fertilizer. And there are those who are "Old timers" as you say, that from what I've seen, I am glad not to here from them. And there are the ones that give all they can to help others out. I am guilty of being a negative "poster" in the forums but with some advice by people here in the forums, even in this topic, I have learned not to let things so silly bother me. Especially when it does not really concern me. I am really just rambling on here. I guess what I am really trying to say is" I'm Good Enough, I'm Smart Enough, and Doggone It, People Like Me!" Thank-you and good night! LOL
  4. Congratulations to the multiple winners. RILEY is a very nice name! Although I think I would have choosen "ELVIS". Thanks for all the fun!
  5. Now that makes alot of sense! I like that! Nicely said!
  6. Glad to hear you are feeling better! But no worries This is meant to be a fun contest...... And besides, We like you and your postings What happent o my post? well... Thank you LadyBee4T!! You are so kind! Fairyhoney, you are so sweet too! Thank you!! Hey there GATOULIS my friend. What a cute avatar! I did not read what happened in the forum to make you feel down, but your a great person and have a really BIG heart! DO NOT CHANGE THAT! To keep this on-topic: "SANDMAN" By Metallica I know this is in a different era, but it is worth a shot!
  7. Well....I believe that if a coin is "gifted" to a person that it should be kept. Who-ever the gifter is/was went through the trouble of getting the coin to you it should be something you keep. For example: And this has not happened yet but a guy can wish, I have a Quadcacher coin for "My Hearts desire" coin. If by some chance I ever recieve that coin, I would NEVER get rid of it to try and get money or trade for another coin. Why???? It just does not make any sence. I am probably not making any sence but I tried! So I guess my answer is, a gift is gift and should not be given away once you recieve it!! Maybe that just goes for coins for me. Unless you get diapers or clothing and your daughter does NOT fit in them any more and you return them for money to buy Geocoins or Ice fishing gear.
  8. Thanks for the E-mail last night 007BigD. I had some time to think of what to say about you getting this coin. UMMMMMMM............CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! In my personal opinion, and I know these usaully get me in trouble in the forums, but....Your one H#a** of a guy and really deserve this coin. You were the first person here in the forums that I can remember that really made me feel welcome. Eversince that that day we've become"Long distance friends". Next step in our relationship is exchanging phone numbers!! NOOOOO....... Congrats there bud. I truly believe you are the most deserving!! I know you will use the "Force for good!! Dardevle
  9. Thanks, I try!! The coins I have run across were about 4 inches around with a picture of a coin on it. Not paper. Those weird but they work! I guess if you have too many coins go missing you think of other ways of sharing them!
  10. Hmmm, is that a challenge? It is nice to see the real deal when it comes to coins but I treat the paper ones just like the real thing. I'll move them just the same. I guess either or is fine with me!
  11. Whats wrong with little green army men and bouncy balls. what you define as "Good swag." may not be to others and what if the next person to go to that cache collects dirty bouncy balls and little green army men you would have spoiled their trading. well at least your spelling was correct and you didnt put a dead lady next to the cache for some one to find. I know you are joking, but....They were really dirty, like scratched up and stepped on dirty. I know that these items are not wierd but, any swag is good swag, but dirty swag......thats another story. I just wanted to make sure the cache contents were nice and clean for the next cacher! Honestly though, I can not think of anything wierd I've found that would justify posting here. Maybe some rocks.....and they were not even agates........GEEZ!
  12. It is 8:00 central Dardevle time. I think that the cointest is now over. Now let the voting among participants in the cointest begin. I have to say that my favorite photo is of 007BigD and his GSXR. I hope that it is up and running soon. This was a very tough decision for me but I think I am going to have to vote for 007BigD! Renegade Knight, how goes the battle with your computer? I hope all the bugs get worked out soon!
  13. I think it is around 7:00pm EST. I'll take number 07!
  14. Hey there 007BigD. I recieved the "Aprils Fools 2008" coin today in the mail. WHAT AN AWESOME COIN Do not tell the Geocoin Secret Agent this but your coin is tied for my favorite coin. Very cool! I got my punches on order and some Travel bug tags. I hope to get the punches before the TBs' so I can make ya a little something. Thanks again for this "cointest". We'll talk again soon! -Dardevle- And to quote you"Dardevle just wants Shiney stuff to make him feel better cause his quads Hydro-locked!!! " is absolutley correct! I should be back to work within a week or two so that will draw my attention elsewhere! Although riding in the summer is a close 2nd. Later!!
  15. It sure was. But being it is spring time they were all sheding their fur! What a complete mess! Especially in the drains!
  16. HMMMMM......I think that if a cacher does take something they should definetly leave something. At first I would take something and then leave something. But now I try to always leave my wooden nickel and I take another sig item. I guess I just started to get to much stuff in my little geo-bag. If I am caching with my daughter I make sure I bring some swag with because she really likes getting stuff. So in short I guess the rule of thumb is if you take something, try to leave something as close to equal value as a person can. Or you could just....TNLNSL Garage sales are a great place to find some not so bad swag. I found 2 dozen different belt buckels for $5.00 and used them as swag. I thought they were pretty neat looking so I used them. Garage sale season is just around the corner, I know I'll be the one parking on side streets and running in to find the best deals early!!LOL
  17. Elvis Presley....A boy like me, A girl like you! When a boy like me meets a girl like you Then I must believe wishes come true I just look at you and I touch your hand And this ordinary world becomes a wonderland There are many girls I have met before But I pass them by because I knew There would be this magic moment, One to last a lifetime through When a boy like me meets a girl like you When a boy like me meets a girl like you
  18. Well, CONGRATULATIONS creacher on getting this coin. Its' powers are great and should never be underestimated! And you really should be more carefull around that wet wookie stuff! I was able to get this picture before they all left my place. They are wild wookies!
  19. Would like to see them at the very least. Maybe even get ahold of one! I only have personal nickels to trade. Like I said I only have wooden nickels as my sig item( soon to have stamped pennies) but if any one even wants to trade with me for their sig item that would OK by me. Really I just need to get my trade fix and I'll be fine!
  20. I know this one may be hard to believe that is why we took this picture. We were caching in Las Vegas and we happened to see Elvis. NO JOKE!!!!! We had to take a picture of him with my wife and I. Seeing is believing right? This happened in Febuary of 2005. He is alive!! And he now drives that Red Jeep in the background! SWEET!!!!! Thanks Elvis for the once in a life time picture. And everyone thought you were dead and gone. GEEZ. What do all the people know?
  21. I just remebered something else. I found a lucky rabbits foot and a horseshoe. Now I ask this. Why would you leave such lucky items in a cache. I know I need all the luck I can get when caching. That is why I grabbed the horseshoe and left the rabbits foot for the next cacher. WHY???? If you have a good luck charm and then leave it in a cache, does that mean the person who left it is out of luck? Stranger things have happened!! I know this may seem far fetched to some, you know, finding a lucky horseshoe, so if need be I have proof. I can take a picture of it and post it. Its not like I found a dead body that had been stabbed and rapped. I know IF I had run across something like that I would not have stuck around to "examine" it. I'd go back to my truck, call the local police department and let them take care of it from there. In conclusion, Lucky Charms should not be left in caches, they are lucky for crying out loud, do not get rid of them!
  22. Yep, thats the place. I now see my link did not work! Thanks for the help! And you are right, we do pay for them, so why not use them? Might as well use them being we do indeed pay for them.
  23. I really like going to garage sales for stuff. I found about 2 dozen big belt buckles at one that I used for swag.
  24. FUNNY... My folks always told me over and over again never buy a book when you can go to the library and check it out for free. But most important was a book that teaches you some thing. Because it is only a matter of time before it is outdated and you need to buy another. I sure love libraries. The save me money, especially on books that teach you how to geocache! This is were I get my wooden nickels! http://www.wooden-nickel.com/ Remember to support your local library, besides, it is free!
  25. Silly Bear, caches are for kids!
