  1. I have the $8 version of cachemate installed on my Tungsten E2. I have GSAK installed on my home computer. I own a Garmin 60csx. I am a premium member of Geocaching.com. Is there a way I can transfer my Tungsten Geocache data (cachemate) to my Garmin 60 csx?
  2. I bought the ram mount w/ 6 " flexible arm for my 60csx. I am extremely pleased. It has been on my windshield now for over 2 months in below zero temps and hasnt fallen off. Also, I have the bottom of the mount resting on the dash. THere may be a little vibration but not enough to not be able to read...and I have bad eyes! The arm is pretty rigid (which leads me to believe why it doesnt vibrate much), but it will bend to your liking with some muscle. Nice mount.
  3. The search engine on Groundspeak isnt being kind to me, nor is my manual. On my 60csx when I mark a waypoint it automatically puts the date and time under the "Note" section. I can't for the lift of me figure out how to prevent this from happening? Thanks for all help.
  4. Any one care to help me narrow down my choices for a PDA? Never owned one, but would like to. What can I get for $100 or less? I geocache also, so a PDA sounds great for this paperless caching. I would also use it for work also. What features do I look for? Clueless in Wyoming
  5. Without a doubt...the Garmin 60csx. I went from a Garmin Legend that was subpar to say the least. The extra $$ spent on the 60csx are well worth it...believe me. I even get satellite signal in my house! The Legend would have trouble acquiring signal in an open field! Cost about $320 after rebate. www.pcnation.com
  6. Thanks for all the replies. As others say...this board is awesome!
  7. Received my RAM cradle and 6" extension suction cup mount. Am pleased with the suction cup mount but the cradle seems kind of cheesy. This might be a stupid question...but how do you "secure" the gps in the cradle so it doesnt fall out? Am I missing some parts?
  8. Also, FYI: Garmin does not honor there $50 rebate thru online auctions such as eBay.
  9. PCNation has the 60csx for $372. With the $50 rebate and free 3 day shipping the total comes to $322. Not bad. I was pleased with PCNation.
  10. http://www.ram-mount.com/gps_mounts/rap105...1056224ga12.htm I am thinking this may be the ticket for me for taking in/out of 3 vehicles. Anyone have one of these setups? I need the pros and cons. Thanks.
  11. http://www.ram-mount.com/products/rambigscreengps.htm Am thinking this might be worthwhile, but not sure it is worth the $33. Anyone try this yet? If so let me know what you think.
  12. I purchased a Garmin 60csx from PCNation recently for $374.80. After the $50 rebate the total came to $324.80. Not bad. Shipping was free and it was here in 3 days. Great GPS, by the way.
  13. The "search" function on the forums wasn't working for me so here goes... I want to get a decent car mount for my 60csx. I want to be able to mount it where I can see it easily without taking my eyes off road. I am thinking about one of those suction windshield type mounts, but my concern is that it may be too far away for me to see the screen. I don't want one of those dash vent mounts...I think those are cheesy. Any suggestions? Thanks.
  14. Thanks for the heads up! I just sent my paperwork off yesterday so I could receive the rebate. Good to know.
  15. Thanks! I tried a search on the forums but the search funtion wasnt giving me what I wanted! I succeeded and now I know how to do it!
  16. Say, just received my Garmin 60csx and I downloaded all my coordinates from a software program into my new 60csx. Now I want to delete them all. Is there a way to delete all my waypoints at once rather than having to go to each individual waypoint and hitting the delete button? This is gonnna take forever if that is the case! Help.
  17. Figured it out...there is an update button to update the maps off the web. The updated maps have the green on them. Go figure.
  18. I recently acquired All Topo by iGage. I really like the program for the most part, except for one quirk. When in 1:24,000 scale the maps don't show the forested sections in green. Is there a way to enable this? As far as I am concerned this is a big flaw in their software if one cannot distinguish between forest and clearings.
