I actually have tears from the laughter. michelle I am beyond laughter -- I am stunned!! In fact, I am stunned and by SEVERAL facts in this case, the capstone of which is that the OP is the owner of the conflicting cache. Sigh! Life is quite amazing! I don't care how many caches you have placed per square mile..etc. etc. ........I STILL want a heads-up when those Blackberries get ripe! Mmmmmmmm...Blackberry Cobbbbblerrrrrrrrr!

Problems with Other cachers
chuckwagon101 replied to TeamCypherX's topic in General geocaching topics
My sentiments exactly!! That's why I always suggest a "BIG PILE OF STICKS"! In a field. With a single BIG tree. And a sensible size container, up to and including footlocker! -

So THAT'S why I can't get more cachers to leave a "big pile of sticks"! -
Problems with Other cachers

Robert, I checked out all the responses on your 3 caches and failed to find where this person said anything about making a "better looking micro container". From my computer, he only replied to two of your caches. Overall I did not see his posts as very derogatory but maybe a little critical with lack of tact. He also said overall one of your caches was good. The replies about foot traffic causing erosion etc. may have been a little over the top, especially since he was probably putting his size 12 Waffle Stompers all over the dunes also. The remark about how the micro could have been hidden in the group of pine trees is just his personal choice. I also read about 30 of this guys replies to other caches and his overall tone was pleasant. I did read one disturbing post from this cacher about you to another cacher. He was applauding a particular cache and made a statement to the fact that "you" (mentioning your handle) could learn something from that cache. That was a little far out for me I think. Summary....The guy is not "out to get you". He is probably just a person concerned about the environment where people walk around to get caches and disturb the land. But he doesn't mind plodding around with his big brogans because they don't do damage like "other folks" brogans. Have fun with your caches! Chuck -
What if the cachers last name is Blackbeard? Shouldn't ALL Pirates be allowed to bury treas...er caches? Doesn't matter, Pirates do what they want anyway. LOL! Sorry about that Cpt.!!!!!!!
-
A cacher should bury a cach ONLY when his last name is "KIDD" or if they happen to bear a strong resemblance to "Johnny Depp"!
-
The harder the cache the fewer lazy cachers. Is that why all my "Big Pile Of Sticks" cache finds are aways wet???? .....

Failure to protect the game piece
chuckwagon101 replied to sbell111's topic in General geocaching topics
Most of the time, these caches have the same thing in common: Cache was intentionally placed in "full view" of the general public. The majority of these caches are 35mm canisters hidden underneath lamppost covers, in busy parking lots. This type of cache almost always was placed on private property "sans permission." I've never been last to find on this type of cache. I love your deliberate spin If anyone is endangering the game, it is the boneheads, who lack common sense, and keep insisting on placing caches in foolhardy spots to begin with. As for increasing the results of LEO intervention, I place most of the blame on the cacher who exhibits blatant jackassery, by hiding caches in this type of spot to begin with. Based on the amount of effort that this type of cacher used to placed this type of cache, I doubt they care much. You could come back at another time or ignore the cache. When the OP stated "What do you think of this practice?" I thought it was a request for input and not a request for opportunities to criticize the inputs. My misunderstanding; sorry. Very, very well-put! Thank you! My observation exactly! What I have seen here, instead of willingness to hear answers to the question, is the OP taking every chance to lecture others on how they should hunt lame urban micros Ditto Help! I am lost in all the ...."quotes"...."unquote"! Uhhhhhhh...were we talking about McToys??! Oh Boy! -
You put that more eloquently than i may have. Thank you. I can hardly understand several of their posts. Decrypt man......DECRYPT! Ya gotta click on decrypt!!!

If my gps is screeching "DANGER! DANGER! APPROACHING CORDS!".....and I don't see a BIG pile of sticks..........I'M OUTTA THERE!!

Sing along now: There's a tree in the middle of the field, There's a tree in the middle of the field, There's a tree, there's a tree, There's a tree in the middle of the field. There's a pile under the tree in the middle of the field, There's a pile under the tree in the middle of the field, There's a pile, there's a pile, There's a pile under the tree in the middle of the field. There's a cache in the pile under the tree in the middle of the field, There's a cache in the pile under the tree in the middle of the field, There's a cache, there's a cache, There's a cache in the pile under the tree in the middle of the field. There's a Mctoy in the cache in the pile under the tree in the middle of the field, There's a Mctoy in the cache in the pile under the tree in the middle of the field, There's a Mctoy, there's a Mctoy, There's a Mctoy in the cache in the pile under the tree in the middle of the field. There's an crack in the Mctoy in the cache in the pile under the tree in the middle of the field, There's an crack in the Mctoy in the cache in the pile under the tree in the middle of the field, There's an crack, there's an crack, There's an crack in the Mctoy in the cache in the pile under the tree in the middle of the field. Well, what else is going to be in a McToy? Aren't they usually broken? Hmm... maybe I should use this song in a hint... What do you think? Love it!
-
Hey, I agree! I think all caches should be in a big ole field......... With one big ole tree in that field....... And a big Pile-O-Sticks under the tree! And the more McToys......THE BETTER!
-
My relevancy (or not!) can be summed up by...................... "LOOK! There's the BIG PILE OF STICKS!" And..... "OH BOY, A McTOY! Just what I wanted!"
-
WOW! He really slammed you GOOD! And you are leaving his comments on a page that YOU have control over???? I would delete that sucker before you could say.....BIG PILE O' STICKS!

You want to talk MONEY......take up BOWLING! Yeah, that's right....bowling. We bowl on a league and average 4 nights a week to the lanes...sometimes 6. Yes, we eat..drink..and bowl and buy all the little extras that are available. 50... 60 bucks a night is nothing for us to spend. Wifey is always on the lookout for a "cuter" bowling outfit or a ball with "sparkles" or new shoes or something. My LEAST expensive sport/hobby is caching! I don't go very much, but even if I did, it would not come close to my bowling expenses. Chuckwagon

My FAV is a BIG pile of sticks.........right next to the BIGGEST tree in the area! And if it has McToys for the kids..........IT'S GRAVY!
