Hi, I'm using android and downloaded the Whereyougo app for it but when I change to offline or vector maps it doesn't show me anything. Though I tried to load a map but still nothing. I also use Locus too but I don't know if I can play Wherigo with it. Can anyone help me how to use offline/vector maps with it?

I started using Locus on my phone but something annoys me. I downloaded caches to it (firstly nearby then with other coordinates) but it downloaded the same cache what i've already have. I mean it downloaded new ones as well but there are some with multiple caches which are the same. Isn't there a way to avoid it not to download caches that are already downloaded? Edit: Problem solved, I put the caches on it in a wrong way..

Yes both of them, but I think I found out the problem. Though I was silly because I had another view of the map and that's why it didn't show me.

I've downloaded a:drake today but it doesn't show me the map, like it's missing or I don't know. I tried Google Maps and Open street maps as well. So my question is: Why can't I see the map? Or if it needs to be downloaded where can I download it?

Hi! I'm looking for a free geocaching software for my friend smart phone (Samsung Corby). I don't know if there is any which doesn't need internet connection so it won't cost money that way. Thanks, Alastor09

Hi! I've got a 30 day premium membership because I registered my Dakota 10. The question is, how can I upload caches with description in it? Because when I want to upload a cache it's still without description or hints.

The gmapsupp.img will ONLY be useful if it's copied to the Garmin folder on your DK. Since it will overwrite a gmapsupp.img that's already there, you may want to save that one somewhere safe. A much better way to get free maps is to select the "MapSource" (or Mac) installer version, and download a copy of BaseCamp from Garmin. That way you'll be able to add or change mapsets up to the size limit on your DK. Openstreettmap really have an .exe file for the map I want, and with seldom_sn MapSource it can work out well. sussamb: I tried this method, I saw the maps I uploaded (Hungary). But what sould I do with them? Though now I may solve this problem I would appriciate the answers because it might be easier. Thanks for the answers so far!

I have one gmapsupp but I still can't upload any maps to it (.img files) And mapsource or any other program doesn't recognise it like nothing is there.. Edit: I donwloaded one country to it succesfully, but it still doesn't allow me to upload anything else.. I can only get .img file from openstreetmap, but how can I use them?

I downloaded some maps from here and put them on my GPS but it doesn't sense it or at least show any change. According to some people maps should uploaded directly to the Garmin folder but it seems it don't help. So my question is how can I see the maps I uploaded to my GPS? I'm using Dakota 10.

Well thanks for the link and the answers again. I'm not a big traveler so I only use Hungary map and maybe some other if I might travel some place but that's pretty rare. I think the Dakota will do as my first GPS or at least I hope.

In Hungary Dakota 10 is way more cheaper and eTrex 20 so that's why this is the 2 option. It seems that it will be Dakota 10 then. Thanks for the answers!

How big is one city map (MB)? For example Budapest ? I mean how much map can I upload to Dakota?

I'm planning to buy a GPS for geocaching but I don't know which GPS would be better: eTrex 10 or Dakota 10? I don't plan to buy a better 'cause I don't have much money, so this two are the only possibilites. What do you guys suggest, which one is better? Any experience?
