  1. Wait, I just reread a few posts back. There are those of you who would pay $20 for an icon??? Maybe I can sell you one. If you could tell me where to view them, I will see if I have the one you want. Edit to add: Sorry, can't help. Don't own one.
  2. Absolutely not. But then I do not see the appeal of icons. Nor of logging archived caches that I never found. Nor of temporarily unarchiving caches just so someone can get an icon. But as they say, everyone plays the game their own way, I play it mine.
  3. So sad to hear that you are ill. I hope you are quickly on the mend. It was a great trip up the hill. When I hear back from GeoRoo, I will let you all know.
  4. Good luck on the Skyline View cache (the one at the cell tower) - bring shovels! My attempt from March 2006, featuring Cache Ahead and Sassey: Excavation begins: An 8-foot-deep trench, but still can't get the cache: Great pics Abby!
  5. I am going to come as well. First time to attempt snowshoes since the surgery. I am keeping an open agenda. Also, I have hiked this before. Got the one at the lake, dnf'd the one at the tower. Did not go for the one on the ridge. I am looking forward to the fun.
  6. Indeed it looks like a nice place to visit. You have peaked my interest (that and reading the NWHikers report). Would you mind posting here when you get back to let us know conditions? I may try to squeeze it in before the end of the year.
  7. Ruck, I don't see a cache on Bare Mountain...
  8. I would be interested in buying some 30's and I know RDR would be as well. Probably a few other people. I have a truck (with canopy on or off) so I would be happy to help haul.
  9. Hey! Someone's missing from the group photo! Where's Penny? She's back there behind MM's leg
  10. I agree, wonderful company, wonderful hike. Turned out to be a beautiful day! Thank you all for the fun.
  11. Monique, I didn't even know that you smoked! I like the way that you are hiding it--lighting up while our backs are turned. ya, that's the way I roll
  12. I absolutely love that shot of Miranda!
  13. That is funny, I was just thinking of doing Col. Bob!
  14. Better to live to hike another day.
  15. My good friend Rey del Roble is up playing in Alaska right now (although Funny Nose may be confused about that). And as of right now, he is at 19,999 finds. He is set to hit 20,000 tomorrow first thing. I am heading to the hills tomorrow early so I wanted to take this opportunity to congratulate him on this milestone. Here's to the past caches and to the ones still to come RDR.
  16. Rey del Roble has done it again! Congratulation on 19,000! I am looking forward to 20,000!
  17. Moving to it's proper home!
  18. Thank you for your positive response! This will be great fun.
  19. Hi Shaddow, Don't get discouraged, feedback is meant to be helpful not hurtful. There are a whole bunch of rules in this challenge and we cachers are free flowing type of people (what? no?). I would definitely take the suggestions made by the reviewer and perhaps consider the feedback from the others. This sounds like it could be a great challenge once it all gets ironed out and I do look forward to it, once I can actually walk again. Putting together and owning any challenge is a challenge in itself (I own one and am putting together two others) so just know that going in. But it is also fun! Cache on.
  20. Can't wait to see the pics. The reason for my lack of outdoors is that I tore my cartilage in my knee and had surgery about two weeks ago. The knee is immobilized until the end of January. But the good Doc tells me I will be in full hiking mode come spring hiking. Can't wait, until then I am living vicariously through you all. Keep it up!
  21. I want to go, I want to go, I really, really want to go. Sadly, still can't bend the knee for another month. Have fun, take (and post) pics please.
