  1. I have had a Dell x51v for a couple of months and for Christmas got an Oncourse BT-339 GPS receiver and iGuidance mapping software. I love this combination of iGuidance and the BT-339 as it has already paid for itself on a trip I was forced to take to D.C. just after Christmas. The iGuidance advantages include lots of POIs, very good and quick routing, low price (~$100), and ease-of-use. The BT-339 is also quick to start, has a 12+ hour battery life and is small and light. I'm also trying out BeelineGPS and really like it too so far. I've found 2 caches with it already and if I keep this up I will certainly buy a copy before too long.
  2. I have a Dell x51v and an Oncourse BT-339 GPS receiver which I got for Christmas. I originally got the GPS to use with IGuidance mapping software but I stumbled across the geocaching.com site and got interested in that use of GPS so I am trying out an evaluation copy of the BeelineGPS waypoint software. So far the combination has worked great! The BT-339 unit is SIRF Star III and was only about $100 at buygpsnow.com. The BT-339 has a 12+ hour battery life, is quick to startup, has auto-shutoff, and is only about as big as a couple of stacked matchboxes. BT of course stands for Bluetooth, which I like because I can carry it easily or strap it to my belt when walking. I've found 2 caches already and I may be hooked. PM me if you'd like more info.
