  1. After reading all the junk posted over at the new caching site by original owner and friends, my advice would be to leave these sites alone. The original owner is already working on getting them listed over there, if he can convince them to steal the earthcaching idea, and it would just cause confusion by duplication. Never thought I'd say it, but I'm swinging round to Arthur & Trillian's POV on this, after reading on that other site. I also need some coffee.
  2. I thought most reviewers were dogs. Just some. We did have a reviewer that was a doorknob. Buried or unburied doorknob?
  3. If you stray into Nebraska via the Hwy 370 bridge over to Bellevue (toll of $1 each way, though), there are a lot of caches in Old Town Bellevue that are quick and interesting finds, and some that are scenic and interesting.
  4. Looking at the map, I'm not sure if you are coming into Omaha at all, or just riding I-29 down through Iowa on the other side of the river?
  5. If you are cutting across Kansas on or near I-70, you MUST stop and get Mingo. It was hidden 5/11/2000 and, if I remember correctly, is the oldest active cache in the US. 7th cache ever created, and 1st in Kansas, certainly. GC30. Check it out.
  6. We LOVED having you guys - thanks for contacting me and letting me co-host the event! Great fun! You gotta come back! Actually, I have to go THERE. I miss New England!
  7. In that case, you better save the map.
  8. The description - thanks.
  9. Anyone know of earthcaches with descriptions that are tongue in cheek or humorous? I need one or two for the 10-10-10 event tomorrow.... Thanks!
  10. Just read through all that - whoa. Huh.
  11. Yeah, you should actually look a bit more carefully, about half of the posted notes are the owners posting pictures of caching adventures unrelated to this cache and various single line comments. Take a close look at Woody48 (the CO's sock puppet account) and how he tries to claim that neither myself nor Jadefalcon signed the logbook. If you look carefully at the picture, you can see our signatures on the backside. Trip, are you signing backsides AGAIN? I thought we had a long talk about that... At least tell me you stopped using the permanent marker?
  12. THrow out some of your more infamous cachers, and I'd come more often.
  13. ... and I feel fine. (well, not really, I have a cold, and my head is about to explode. But anyway.)
  14. Yes, I tweaked the listing, removing the mention of erratic boulders and it was quickly approved. I even had bit of fun changing it from 'erratic boulder' to 'a radical boulder.' Dude, that rocks.
  15. Thank you for doing the needful!
  16. I've been put in charge of interesting and fun educations games for the 10-10-10 event here, by the Bringer of the Donuts... But aside from Earthcache listing mad-libs, I'm sort of drawing a blank. Trolling for suggestions! Please help!
  17. Can you still buy pins? I overlooked purchasing a silver Masters level, somehow...
  18. Chalk me up as another person who just ignores the Get Satisfaction site. Things were a lot easier when everything was in one place, and we didn't have to chase and search all over the Internet to find answers to issues. But that's just my opinion.
  19. I didn't want to create an earthcache, but I was forced to at GPSpoint... by catsnfish... it was terrible... (the experience, not the earthcache) .... I'm scarred for life. Wah.
  20. One of my earthcaches requires use of a thermometer... Someone else's I know requires a bucket, another requires two containers to old dirt samples.... The thing to remember about earthcaches is that sometimes, you need more than a GPS. You just gotta read the description before you set out, or risk getting a DNC - did not complete!
  21. Can we get an option to directly upload photos from our computers to the forums? It's a pain in the neck having to upload them to a third party photo site, then pull them from there. Much obliged!
  22. Thanks for the shout-out, catsnfish! This is one of the earthcaches he was talking about - just throwing it out there because I had a lot of fun writing it. If I'd had to follow a set format, ugh! Mission Possible: The Smith Falls Adventure
