IF you have the cache identified with the geocaching symbol (closed treasure chest, normally) and IF you are in off road navigation mode, then "found" will be an option at the bottom of the compass navigation page. Thanks I knew it was in there.....duh...new to this thanx

Im stumped.When I find a cache I want to mark it found.I did before and now cant figure it out? Read manual and it says it will just mark it found...help

Ok Ok now we are cooking.First for knuckle heads like myself.Wait for PQ to be send to your email. Second load all data into both pc,gps,palm. 3rd sync palm and check mobipocket. Last week I bought 60csx from amazon(best price)$395.41,autokit w/city select north america$149.60 over night shipping$25.44.I had topo from last year.There are many deals out there but I chose to go with amazon and I needed for the weekend.One of the best gadgets I ever bought.This weekend We will put it to the real test.Going for a ton of caches.I reccommend GSAK and Cachemate (if you have a palm).There is a new city selectV8 coming out on the 19th.I called Garmin and they will upgrade for free.They also currently are offering a $50.00 rebate good til Dec. If you play the wait and shop game you could probably get a setup for around $250.00

new owner of a 60csx.I have to say..if you dont know the basics...it sucks.In one week $650+ on gps and accessories,became premium member,bought GSAK,Bought cachemate, 20hrs of reading all and I mean all websites,forums,post,and personal web blogs. Iam hooked on this.We did are first cache....kids got lucky.Now I spend all my free time trying to get a hold on all this tech to get out and be productive. One big comment.WE/Groundspeak/geocache could use more help for new members. There sure are alot of code words in this game. If it wasnt for the kids turning me on to Harry potter reference I dont think i would have ever got the "muggle" any way...I will become a lifer for sure.

First of all thank you ALL! Something I learned was first go to garmin an load ximage.This is used for those neat screen shots of your gps(i havent tried it yet) go here Next go to garmin and get custom poi loader(this was what you need to get all poi's into your gps) go here Now for the real question. I cant seem to get any "hints" into my palm/pda. Im so close and when I figure this out I will post a new heading for all lurkers and first timers like myself.Some nice people have offered to take this offline and when I get it straight I will update this. THANK for all help.

ok now I did it To start off on the right foot.I erased everything I had loaded in my GSAK and cachemate.In GSAK I dont see any notes loaded(in the 5th colum over that looks like apiece of paper)which is where I think problem lies. I think if this has no data I cant transfer it to cachemate. I built a new query(100milesfrom94122) checked same info and "in the format" choose both gpx files and ebook.It loaded 20 files.Isync with palm.I get 20 files.both name and wpt.Still no hints. I believe my problem is in loading GSAK. Please help....3-4hrs trying to get this right thank you for not laughing to hard I just started

I have a 60csx,premium member,registered GSAK,registered cachmate.My question is after I ran my PQ I get GPX files but no "hints" I have tried several settings and still cant get info into logs,or the important stuff like the hints. Any ideas?? I have read alot of post and searched both help faqs on all websites. The referrals to florida geo site are for older versions.Any help would be very much appreciated. Screen prints are worth a million words I do not have any problem moving the info into my Palm(zire72) but I just cant get the hints into cachemate Forgive me for this newbie is really new to software.

I just started yesterday so forgive if this off topic.Im looking for a download or pdf of both logbook and log sheet. my first cache had an explaination of what this is if found by muggle or someone not hip to geocaching.Thanx Billy
