  1. So the update is no news yet. Apparently there was an incident at C&P's office that kept them busy for a while, I'll share the news once I receive it. I have a handful of projects going through them right now and expect to hear from them today.
  2. Im waiting too, i sent an inquiry to c&p last week before heading out of town for the weekend but got no news. I'm giving them a call monday AM to get an update and date of delivery est. I would think to expect them this week, but we'll see
  3. On occasion I stick an extra coin in a package for one reason or another. Good customer, bad customer, good mood, ya know whatever... Things have been busy for me, its prevented me from spending time caching actually I've been ordering random samples of finishes in existing coins, finalizing mint art for the irish dancing dress, mint art on the gaiascape coin, my compass rose coin and in the midst of the presale for the nature's night & day while doing custom designs for pins for my school classmates. Fun stuff
  4. Hard to believe that it has been almost a year since a post in this thread. I'd like to revive it a bit with some new coins I received samples today for some non enameled 2-toned TOL coins and I think you all will love them. They are awesome in hand here! I'm waiting to hear from the mint to see if I have to sell these in limited quantities or if they have the 2-tone process down pat on these detailed coins yet I'll post here and send out a newsletter with dates and information in the next day or so. I will be leaving out of town this weekend and would like to have the presale running before I go so in the end I can ship them out before school starts up for me in a couple months. Some Pics
  5. The presale is open, and there are also 2 new finishes available Nature's Night & Day
  6. So with some less-than-gentle e-prodding, I've decided to open a reminting for these colorful coins By noon tomorrow I will open a 2 week window for presale orders and hope that at least a hundred coins get ordered (the minumum for a minting where I don't have to shell out of pocket costs). Less than 300 were done in the original minting so this may be an opportunity for you collectors (prodders included) to get some less common scavok coins. There are plenty of pics and minting numbers available at: https://www.scavok.com/geocoins/nad.php I'll post again with the notification tomorrow. As for now.. I'm heading to bed Hope you all are having a good weekend!
  7. I didn't score, thats for sure. I started the day with 45 gorgeous nickel coins and now have 1. I think a lot of the collectors out there have more of my coins than i do.

  14. Sorry, i didn't notice the previous post about the enamel change. When it came to extra mintings for different colors they were ordered sight unseen, I didn't have samples for every color other than the 1.75" coins. I humbly apologize for not specifying in the description that the photo was of the 1.75" coin used to depict the color of the enamel, neglecting to point out the change in enamel placement. All of the 1.75" coins have the bare metal band, the 2.175" have enamel all the way to the outer raised ring. To each his own I guess... I like how they turned out, but still appreciate the input BTW, it looks like I need to update all the photos. Your photograph shows the color much more accurately too!
  15. I think that any more tendrils and the like would just get lost in the line art around it. I've tried a few ways and think that to get the look I was originally aiming for the coin would just have to be unpractically large. The best option overall is without the vines. I think I will add some leaves to the edge/background of the front and then some actual flowers on the back and see what people think of those As for the "tengwar" design, it is actually a bit of a signature. It isn't a tengwar character as some suppose, it just happened to make its first appearance on my tengwar coin. There's some meaning and symbology in it and (whether you see it through the design/enamel or not) it is in all but 1 coin that I've had minted over the years.
  16. Okay okay. Lets see it without the leaves... Thoughts?
  17. I've done some more work and when I rendered it to imitate antiqued silver I LOVED how it came out with the leaves. What do you all think? I also finished the back. They are indeed rose leaves (atypical compass rose ), but ivy-ish because, well, I like how it looks myself. Maybe I'm the only one?
  18. Largely guided by TeamAmaroo, this coin is in mint art production and will be presold by C&P as a trackable geocoin this winter. Bright transulcent colors: 2 versions (only 1 shown) and hoping for a large size I'll update with mint art when it comes around
  19. Gaiascape - a lunar landscape image with a bit of a twist. Trying something new and it's still just a design but I'll be submitting it for mint-art soon as well as Groundspeak approval. It will be trackable, of course, and will a nice big coin . I'll decide for sure on it once the mint art comes back. But I kind of like it.
  20. So I pulled this project up again and started playing with it. The image below was a quick idea based on the Shakespearean phrase, "a rose by any other name..." If you like this as a whole let me know that too Really what I was looking for was some opinions on the knotted compass without the leaves. Its a big image below so be patient. http://www.scavok.com/geocoins/SKR/SH_ROSE.jpg Also an image with the leaves and a new font. http://www.scavok.com/geocoins/SKR/Front.png Ideas?
  21. In-Hand Tengwar, Tree of Life, Night & Day, and Journey geocoins will be going up for sale Friday (July 30th) morning at scavok.com. I will be going on vacation for 1 week starting Friday night, so orders will be shipped out as soon as I return There are some in stock of every coin, but not many, so this is one of those rare chances to get some older versions of the coins. https://www.scavok.com/shop

    Clay TikiCoins!

Received my full set in Northglenn, Colorado today. I am very impressed Thanks!
  23. So in packing up orders I found that the antique silver coins were minted in shiny silver on accident (not my fault - i have proof! ). I've already made contact to get them fixed and partial orders (for those who bought more than the a-silver coins) are being shipped. For small orders where a significant portion of the order is the silver coins and some international orders where shipping is expensive I will be emailing individually to see if they want the whole order held or not. I'm not going to be charging extra shipping or anything so don't worry about that I'll keep the thread updated here too Sorry!
  24. The coins are here! I'm printing out shipping labels and stuffing boxes today and will cart the 5 USPS tubs of packages to the post office tomorrow morning

    Clay TikiCoins!

$25 is not a lot considering it is a handmade item, yes a lot for a geocoin but not a lot for original artwork. Can you imagine spending $20+ on a coin, thankful for $3.50 shipping and having it arrive broken? You know you would be saying to yourself "man, i would have paid an extra 5 bucks to have this sent in a padded box with some insurance or something"
