  1. Good guess! My receipt from yesterday is a full 4 feet long Thanks for playing everyone!
  2. Winner! it was exactly 39.0 pounds total = 624 ounces. The receipt length isn't close enough though, you all can keep guessing on that til Saturday night if you want for the green coin!
  3. An email I sent out today concerning my shopping cart system:
  4. Yep, they are a full 2" diameter with heavy-metal cores so it feels good in hand (no zinc for this one!). The enameling isn't particularly complicated (other than the trees), but there are 11 different enamels being applied to this one (including transparent hard, soft, opaque and glow), which is technically over the maximum. The photos don't really do it justice, the coloring is the coin for this design, and it really shows when you have it in hand Beyond that I don't expect a lot of these to sell, which unfortunately raises the cost per coin on top of the design aspects.
  5. Wow Dude, Sorry. I miss understood. I thought he didn't care how many times we enter. My Mistake, Go Ahead .......... Hey, post away (you're going the wrong way anyway!) I'm off to work, have fun all!!
  6. I like to give people a good range. No rush this way What better way to spend a tax refund than on geocoins? Thats where mine went...
  7. I've updated the website and presales are open! Direct Link: https://www.scavok.com/shop/index.php?main_...&cPath=6_11
  8. keep in mind this was well over 200 coins (a lot of ounces and a long receipt)
  9. Now that all of the Tree of Life coins have been shipped out I thought I'd celebrate by having a cointest Due to a minting error my shipments were broken in to 2 portions. Guess the total weight of the packaged and labeled second portion in ounces. I had them all together in one giant box to carry to the post office and set the thing on a scale before I left. As soon as someone gets that answer correct I'll announce it and its over. AS A BONUS... make a second guess along with the first of how long my post office receipt was from the shipment in inches. If you get the first number right you get the red on 2-tone version. If you managed to get the second part correct as well, then you get the green on 2-tone along with it, but you have to get the weight correct first I don't care how often you guess, if for some reason nobody gets it right by the time I get home from work on Saturday night, I'll pick whoever got closest Enjoy! EDIT: A winner has been decided for the red coin, but feel free to keep guessing the length of the receipt for the green one (red winner wasn't close enough! ). I'll ask for the thread to be closed on saturday after a second winner is decided
  10. Just wanted to bump this and announce that presales will open tonight or in the AM and run for a couple weeks Wohoo!
  11. Just an update for everyone I just wasn't able to pack everything up and get to the PO before they closed this afternoon. I filled out all the customs forms and everything is good to go. Ijust have to get that heavy box to the PO now! They will be on their way tomorrow!
  12. That is really incredible. Never knew those tools existed!
  13. Well that would explain why I couldn't find them anywhere... '05 anyone?!
  14. Neither. It all hinged on the use of the ambigious word "sufficient". If you are an employee you will probably find this word in your employment contract. eg "The employee shall do what is deemed sufficient by the employer in regards to this and this and this and this and this". It is legal to use the term but you are in your right to challenge it (wherever you see it used). If you see the word appear more than once in a contract run for the hills Ha ha, I have seen that. I was looking to see if any employers would be willing to pay my student loans off in exchange for a time/term contract. Almost all of the offers incude 'sufficient' availability to work at different locations. Came to find out it meant that if they had a location at the North Pole they probably would have sent me there. Scrap that idea...
  15. I'm looking for a few coins if anyone can help me out I'd like the copper version of crake's symbology geocoin I have the 2007 and the 2009 lackey coins, I'd like to fill in the years on those with an 06 and an 08. I have my celtic tree of life coins and will soon have tengwars in stock again (both include the trade only versions) as well as some $ if that helps sweeten the deal (tax refund is in!) And as a desparate long shot I can't help but ask - I've seen photos of crake's Tracking Time geocoin in antique silver - if you have it and are willing to part with it let me know and we'll work a deal
  16. Sounds like bidding to me I would take it as the guy just telling me my offer was out of league. Ah well, I'm not psychic and can't tell whats going on otherwise, but for my transaction anyway it went just as the initial post described. Too bad it went sour for others. My previous post meant no harm, just pointing that its not like TPTB should ban his sale or anything (: I wouldn't partake in a blind bidding war either. Now I guess I'm just glad the coins I was interested in weren't sought by others!!
  17. It wasn't taking place in the forums, rather over email, until people starting getting upset that he didn't accept their offers and expressed their dismay publicly (IMHO) . A bid is a bid, not necessarily an "auction" bid. It didn't seem to me he was running auctions, just accepting offers if they were to his liking. If they weren't to his liking he waited to see if someone offered him more. If he was running auctions he would have contacted people with bid increases; the lack of that goes to show it isn't an auction. Again, IMHO. I saw some coins I was interested in, made some offers and they were accepted the next day, so not sure what the behind-the-scenes is, but I'm getting some good ones at a more than fair price with no auction-type bidding going on Thanks Captain, can't wait to see them!
  18. I'm glad people are liking it! This thread started as a total question. Its not my normal style, so good to know people actually like it This one is in the lead for what I'll offer next. The poll will run until I have all of the Celtic Tree orders finalized and shipped. Then I'll be able to handle another
  19. Just an FYI to anyone who is interested. I posted a poll on my website asking for opinions as to which coin to offer for presale next. (1) Presale of The Journey coin (remint & new finishes), (2) presale for the new Nature's Night & Day coin, or (3) presale of The Celtic Tree of Life coin (remint & new finishes)? https://www.scavok.com/shop/index.php

  22. Is that chinese cursing?
  23. Yea, it certainly does. This was one I was taking a risk on going ahead with samples, I wasn't sure if I would like it myself. It looked great in the sketchbook and then in my head as a coin, and was really very happy to see it come out almost exactly how I imagined it in physical form. There are few coins with as many bright colors as this one. In the light the translucents really glow and the shiny metals (even the shiny BN) reflects the light into the enamel that much more compared to the satin ones (which are still bright, but not as 'reflecting' if you understand what I'm trying to say).
