  1. I may be wrong but I think the Birdseye files are demos loaded by garmin to try to encourage you to subscribe to their Birdseye mapping service my ' new' Oregon also had files on it when I bought it.
  2. Haven't yet bagged the cache but was in the area of GCXB05 to spot something else - couldn't resist posting the pic.
  3. I have the Oregon 450, first GPS I've ever owned and I love it. It has fast become my favourite piece of tech. I haven't had problems with the battery life use rechargables ( 2650mA) and find they last all day. The screen has been good too - have it set on lowest screen brightness and have had no problems - however I do live in Scotland so no bright sunshine yet this year. I bought the OS maps on SD card and have been happy with these too.
  4. I bought an Oregon 2 weeks ago for using in the UK and am very happy with it. I went for the package with GB OS maps included. I was using an iPhone 3G before so the Oregon 450 is a big step forward. Cost under £350 also came with the carabiner clip and a CD from the company for open street maps - haven't used CD so can't say whether it's any good or not.
