  1. Go troll somewhere else. If you hate them so bad, ignore the topic and leave us alone.
  2. I too put a camera out last fall. It finally got filled up earlier this summer. Here are the pics, lol...the best part is I don't know who is who. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v649/chadrob30/Geocaching/
  3. Great software. It takes about 30 seconds to load the PQ files and synch the iPod and out the door I go. Awesome job!
  4. So the OP in the quote I provided was sort of correct....thanks for the info everyone.
  5. Hey gang! We are in a debate over at a motorcycle forum I belong to. The original topic was about what percentage our speedometers are off compared to a GPS reading. There are a number of answers that make some kind of sense, but this answer here just kind of struck me as possible, but extremely odd. Anybody know if there is any truth to this?
  6. I'd take pictures of the cache in various stages of lid removal, etc and email them to the reviewer...perhaps a photo along with a bunch of happy cachers logs would persuade the reviewer to reconsider.
  7. This is getting frustrating. I'm trying to get a new cache published but every time I hit "enter" I get the "Service Unavailable" message. I'm not sure if it went through or not, although I did get the email saying it is being reviewed, so I guess that's a good sign....
  8. Down again, 6:25 PM CST....
  9. Grabber Orange 2007 Mustang....seen here at GCTTXC.
  10. Geocaching is pretty cheap compared to my other hobby. I enjoy R/C trucks and dune buggies. The 1/8 and 1/10 scales that run on nitro are between $500-700 each, then factor in a gallon of nitro is $25-30 it all adds up quick. I recently purchased a 1/5 scale buggy and it ran right at $1000, but it runs on 93 octane, at ONLY $3/gallon, lol.
  11. Done. think paypal will tell you one address and I put another, no matter, I use both. no shipping cost? Thanks. this is great. been needing one of these. Got the money. Not sure how an Echeck works, but since it's through Paypal it's good by me. Will have the wife send it out tomorrow. Thanks!
  12. Yes I do. Sorry for taking so long to reply! Are you still interested? I am! Hand raised. OK it's yours. $20 shipped to Texas. Do you have Paypal? If so the addy is chadrob30@yahoo.com
  13. I'm a FTF and not afraid to admit it. Today I spotted a newly published cache about 15 miles north of here. Got there and signed the log just as another cacher approached. Needless to say, I think he was upset, lol. I have even had people name me specifically in their logs as being hard to beat to a FTF.

  15. I stumbled across one out in the woods. I spotted a rock that just didn't look right sitting at the base of a tree. Sure enough, there was a film canister and log under it. Signed the log, then went through my GPS and couldn't find it. When I got home and back on GC.com I realized the coords in my unit were from one stage of a now archived multi. The original hider reused the same coords but with a different cache, lol. Moral of the story: Update your cache list occasionally in your GPS...
  16. We have quite a few cemetery caches around here, and I found two today as a matter of fact. Common sense goes a long way when it comes to caching in cemeteries. Sure, you don't want to disturb the headstones, flowers, or whatever other artifacts may be laying around. But on the other hand, I find it hard to believe that some grouchy old caretaker is going to run you out of a cemetery for carrying a GPS while you walk around. On the topic of reviewers: I once attempted to get a new hide published and was denied due to the fact that it was close to a water tower, and the reviewer said the tower was a potential terrorist target. I literally laughed out loud at that nonsense.
  17. Hobby Lobby also has some that are very cheap. I got 100 of them for 50 cents.
  18. After booting up and finding a few satellites my new LE powers off on it's own. It doesn't power down with the countdown, the screen just slowly fades away until it's off. This is with fresh batteries installed. I've only had it a week and can't find the receipt. Am I out of luck?
  19. Yes, the Cx's now ship with the 64 meg cards...
  20. I'm not 100% certain about this but I believe you have to "cut" the map into regions...then load the different regions onto the card that way. I don't think you can have the entire map due to the size restriction.
