  1. "Piksiksak Creek (AK)" Red Jeep Travel Bug Arrived in Farmington , Missouri today! I do find it interesting that so many of the jeeps have the goal of getting to Alaska! Can't wait to see what the challenge is the first month!
  2. Looks like at least one person has already clained a discovery of this coin even though they have not seen it. Wish I was in Utah so I could go after this one! Sounds like a great one! I am shocked that nobody has gone after it yet!
  3. It would be really nice to have some help sometimes. I have been emailed hints before ... NOT "You will find the cache under the bench next to the trail right at the spot that the trail turns to the left." No shame in that...if you try and are stuck you ask for help. That is how we learn. I am stuck right now on three puzzles. I have logged them all as DNFs and will keep working on them and WILL get them eventually. I may receive a hint, but that is how you can learn to tackle the next one. I have yet to find a group to get together with in my area, and I feel like a newbie still. I just don't know if I would be welcomed into the group. Negative attitudes sure don't make me any more eager to try and go to events! Oh well...maybe I will get an invite too. Hang in there Monkeygirl and good luck with the hunts!
  4. I am from Missouri too so I have to say that running across a Meth lab scares the crap outa me! I work at a mental hospital and I KNOW that people ya really have to worry about are the ones NOT locked up. My biggest fear is SNAKES! It freaks me out soooo bad to even think about seeing one...let alone reaching into a log to grab a cache...and ewwwwww! Loved hunting in the wonter while they were sleeping...wish it was 20 degrees again!
  5. We found one just yesterday while looking for 'Pine Ridge' in Missouri. The listed site was way off and we stumbled across a letter box that was literally right in the middle of the trail. A muggle(?) had just passed through the area and as we were walking in he said "If you are looking for something it is right around the corner on the trail." I knew it shouldn't have been just left there, but wasn't sure what to do with it. There was a nearby big tree that we nestled it in , and am right now trying to find the owner so I can notify them. I did get the coordinates to wereI placed it. Hope I did right.
  6. EWwwwwww That is just gross! Mind you I am a nurse and not much gets me....but ewwwwwwww. OK, my Dad was a hunter and would love to find bones etc., but as for me I hope that I DON'T come across any of this. For the record the first time I come across a snake I will be crying like a sissy girl! JonesCrew
  7. We are new to geocaching, but love it so far. 6 finds in first week . I was wondering about all the (Sorry if I ofend anybody) trash that we find in the caches. Broken junk toys, an old baby pacifier, old batteries (Complete with the gritty dried crud on it). Is it accptable to clean this stuff out? Not sure why folks leave stuff like this to begin with, but hey---there may be a reason. Thanks in advance.
