  1. Relax, they'll probably invite everyone that's attending Geocoinfest, just like they did on the Block Party...
  2. I would really like to see the following changes to the way Lab Caches work: Lab Cache finds included in MyFinds-PQ and API (so I can get GSAK and Project-GC.com to show the same find counts as geocaching.com) (yes, I admit it, sometimes it is about the numbers) Lab Caches included in the statistics List of Lab Caches I've found, it would be nice to not only see the number, but actually see why the number is there Let the Lab Caches count towards the milestones
  3. I guess it really is about the numbers... But even without the numbers, the Explore the Block caches was awesome! I guess the best I can do then is to tell what I would like to see them incorporate, which I'll do in a separate thread. Thanks for taking the time to answer me
  4. Which means that my milestones don't match my find count, which is just wrong. I do appreciate the Lab Caches, and I had real fun finding them, but I don't want them to mess up my statistics. Are there any way you could remove them from my find count, but still keep them in the list of found cache types? Just like the Benchmarks work? That would be so much better! It's great that you experiment and beta test, and I'm glad to be able to be a part of it. But I don't want my statistics messed up. It might not always be about the numbers, but I do enjoy my statistics
  5. But they do increase our find count..? Do they count towards milestones? It just looks strange when the find count is higher than what's included in the statistics... Is it possible to get the find count decreased again, to not include the lab caches?
  6. I can't see the Lab Caches in my Statistics, will it only show in the list of found cache types on my public profile?
  7. I like the new design, but could you please consider minimizing the visual clutter a bit more by removing the huge "Geocache Description:" text? It use a lot of space and makes caches/event with their own title (like this one: http://coord.info/GC47HXZ) look bad.
  8. PQ download for "Explore the Block" doesn't work for me. Can anyone who got the file send it to me? I really enjoyed the lab caches, but I am a bit concerned about logging them... They do count in our find count, but they are not included in the "My Finds" PQ. There's no way you can see which one you've logged, and there's no log attached to it. This will break all statistics like FindStatGen and Project-GC.com Groundspeak, can you please include this in our My Finds PQ and in the API in some way? If it's not a "real smiley", my personal opinion is that it's better of as a separate smiley count - like the old challenges had...
  9. My phone will last probably an hour with the Geocaching app active. I often find myself geocaching entire days, and entire weekends - making a smartphone useless. But for me, using Pocket Queries together with GSAK and the Get Geocaches-function of the API, I can get all the caches I need. For extensive trip planning abroad, I actually do utilize a second premium account (my wife's account).
  10. The International Geocaching Day is always on the third Saturday in August. This year that will be Saturday August 17th. http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=342
  11. Downloading large amounts of geocaches is actually quite common in Norway, and we all do it with the tools provided by Groundspeak, without breaking any agreements or terms of use. I personally have all caches in Norway in my GSAK database, somewhere between 30k and 40k. I initially populated the database by using PQs for all of Norway, divided by placed date (Project-GC.com have a nice tool to help you with this). After about a week or so, the database is "complete". I used these PQs to update my database, and it worked flawlessly. I can travel as much as I want within Norway, and a still have everything I need. But the problem with this approach was that any given cache could potentially have data as old as one week. To overcome this problem I've disabled all my old PQs, and now use the following to keep my database updated: - A PQ that every day gives me all the caches in Norway, published the last month - A set of PQs that runs across the week, giving me the caches changed in the last seven days - A set of PQs that weakly ensures I have all the caches in my region By using this setup, I always have an updated database, and I don't have to download caches that has no activity. If I'm going somewhere, which I often do - I travel a lot! I simply use the Get Geocaches function of the Groundspeak API to fetch up to 6000 caches per day. Together with running a few PQs, I can get everything I want. I do agree with you partly, I would like to be able to pay to be able to run extra PQs - but I don't consider this a bug. Today I just use my wife's account if and when I need to run a few extra. I would not recommend keeping 40k geocaches on a Garmin 62s, the 62s can't handle more than 5k geocaches. If you load any more than that, you risk crashing it.
  12. I generally like the new cache page design, but please remove the text "Geocache Description:". A lot of descriptions are made with their own headings, which doesn't look good when they get this added to them.
  13. I guess they just needed a power nap, they seem to be back in action now Please let us know what happened, Groundspeak There have been lots of trouble lately, would be nice to know if we can expect the site to be more stable in the future.

  15. It seems like the hamsters are exhausted, did you forget to feed them?
  16. Looks like there's still some issues... I logged a cache in France yesterday, and got the souvenir immedeatly. When I logged two caches in Luxembourg after that, I did not get the souvenir - and I still haven't gotten it. One of my qualifying logs for Luxembourg is this: http://coord.info/GLAN2QV9
  17. Hi, We are going to attend the Brugse Beer III Mega-Event in April, and we plan to cache around Belgium and the Netherlands prior to the event. Can anyone tell us if there are one, or several, geocaches located below sea level in close proximity to Bruges, Eindhoven or between? (yes, we want to get the "Head in the grounds"-badge in BadgeGen )
  18. I went caching in Denmark last weekend (I also met some lackeys and volunteers at Denmarks first mega event ), but I still haven't gotten the souvenir for Denmark. Is there something wrong with the new souvenirs?
  19. According to PodCacher we should see a lot of new souvenirs added during the next days, starting with these: http://blog.geocaching.com/2013/02/new-geocaching-souvenirs-celebrating-2-million-active-geocaches/
  20. Any way I can get access to the list?
  21. That is correct! Now it's your turn
