When you say add the url is that the same as the file path? I entered the file path for the bacgkround image I wanted but it didn't work? please advise?

On the cache edit page, below the date placed, and above the coordinates, is a box that says, "Background Image URL:" Put the url for your background image in that box.

Deepest thanks for your input. I recently became aware of garmin getting away from mapsource and recommending basecamp. Please keep the commments coming. How and where can I obtain basecamp? Why is it overly complicated? I much prefer user friendly ease of use.

I am attempting to open and save caches into Mapsource instead of Easy GPS. How do I add Mapsource into the directory as a program to open and save caches and then how do I make it my default program?

I am using the base model etrex and I am downloading the caches from geocaching.com. How can I remove the gc front two digits before downloading? theoretically this would resolve the problem and also disperse my caches into different categories rather than all being stored in the g's. please keep the help coming

I discovered this issue when I would download multiple caches to my Garmin etrex then caches that I knew I had successfully downloaded were not present. After I began manually writing down the 7 digit codes I would notice my etrex would only store 6 digits then if two caches were the same ###'s but with 2 different ending digits it would only save the last six digits of the last 7 digit codes stored. Does this make sense to anyone? What can i do? Has anyone else experienced this problem? I got my first Garmin gps 12 in 1998 but only began geocaching in 2012. I have very limited tech experience and definitely need help from those in the know......
