I was in Gander Mountain last night and they had a pallet of used 50 cal for $3.49. The back of my SUV now holds 20 of them. They are in 90%+ condition. Hope I don't get pulled over. Might have to do some explaining!!!

Got me a Palm Z22. Charging up now. learn and load tomorrow.

I like my small, light weight S&W 357. I carry different loads depending on the situation. For caching I like snake shot for the first three. Hollow points to follow. Easy carry in the fanny pack. My first choice would be to try and remove myself from any bad situation.

First GPS for me. A Lowrance 600c. Works great so far on land mode.

I just bought a 600c aviation model. I loaded the maps and love them so far, although I don't have anything to compare too.

Well I got my refund e-mail too. I was crushed as this was to be my first GPS unit. I e-mailed the company(dl-electronics.com) directly. Their reply was "The refund was initiated by Garmin Company since we didn't meet their MAP pricing policy. We apologize for the inconvenience. Thanks" Last evening they still had it listed, only at a higher price yet a still reasonable $263. I checked this morning and they no longer are listing that unit. I did e-mail Amazon that I thought there was something fishy going on. I will certainly leave negative feedback. Now the big question? Vista cx or jump to the 60csx. I really want the compass.

Check out Amazon.com. They have the Vista cx listed for $232 + $5 shipping. I think this was a mistake listing/price. I've been watching these for a while now. I know it's not the legend but you can't beat the deal. It's from a new vendor but the purchase is protected thru Amazon. I took a chance and ordered mine last night. I sure hope it works out.
