Validar

I've left PS2 games in caches that could support it, some in trade for something, some in penance for the times I've been caught without swag to trade and my daughter took something anyway. We keep a bag of swag to leave in the car now, just in case, so now it's mostly just because the cache can hold it, a thank you for the larger container.

I ran into an old friend that I used to play Ultima Online with and after talking to him I thought I would see how the game was doing. Well Google decided to take me to Wikipedia and I tend to click too much. Next thing I know I'm on the Wikipedia entry for Richard Garriott, the producer/developer of the Ultima series of games, and reading about his cache on the International Space Station. Geocaching? What's that? After some research and downloading an app on my EVO, I went out and found my first one a couple days later.

Mine is nothing too fancy, Validar is just the online name I've always used. Started in Everquest oh so many years ago, and has been my screen name on every forum/game/chat/IRC ever since.

I carry my pen testing netbook in my vehicle, so access wouldn't have been a problem. I wouldn't hesitate to access the device either as my system doesn't have an OS on the hard drive, I boot from a USB drive. Granted most cachers wouldn't have this equipment with them. This hobby/game is based on newer technology, it only makes sense that it should embrace more technology. That said though, it would need a new category so that it would be excluded from traditional caches.
