if a tree falls on a cache in the woods... -
I agree. my first hide turned out to be more difficult than I had thought it would be. at the recommendation of well seasoned cachers I upped the difficulty . I'd rather the D/T be accurate . especially for cachers with kids, or people who have physical limitations to consider, etc

Injuries from Drug Needles in Urban Caches (UK)
oxford comma replied to WolverineX's topic in General geocaching topics
just as easy as accidentally poking mySelf with a sewing needle that got stuck in the carpet, or getting jabbed with a pine needle while looking for a ptc . or use the example of rummaging around in a drawer and accidentally poking your finger with a tack or safety pin. in zero of the instances was i holding the sharp object with my other hand. -

I think it's just a couple kids- hopefully they'll learn as they go along. I know I learned about the "initial" logs very early on from the boards. now I always write at least a little something, plus what I took/left. I also learned that I shouldn't use a cache as a toilet. -

only deleted one found log. if they can't read well it doesn't explain the jkhnkjnbmk logs. I'll check my cache this week if I can - in the least it will be soon. there is a Cacher around here whose online logs are :-) -

they changed the log to "sorry thanks" -
I can handle a TFTC. a :-) as an online log is mildly irritating, but, I can get over it. but this? seriously? I think it's a team logging finds- and one of them does this: ( 12/25/12 ) log http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=90b48856-d98a-4dee-9fc7-141cc5c3e896 what do you guys think? armchair logs? a little kid? or someone just really inconsiderate. I sent them a nice email asking what it was all about, and gave them a few beginners caching tips ( trade even or up, etc)

how old? just out of curiosity

wait... I thought trackables weren't swag, so if you take it to move it along you don't have to leave anything.

http://coord.info/GC42290 Now that was fun reading. Thanks for posting it. Nice to see a reviewer who quickly put it out of it's misery. (along with 3 of the other CO's caches with the same problem). Here's one that makes for interesting reading. There's a lot of heated discussion with the kid that planted it: http://coord.info/GC2G5X3 wow.

yes, the latter is what I was getting at. sorry it is confusing! here's an example of what i mean. http://coord.info/GC3P8KN cool hide, cool trail. I am not complaining about the hide at all- just wondered why one would place a regular sized cache without any swag .
-
I am relatively new to caching - just over 300. I was wondering about cache size choice when placing them for an event . having found quite a few almost immediately following a local event, And some long after other events, i have noticed the majority are smalls or regulars . however, they are , in every case but one, devoid of swag. this is totally not a snarky question, but why would someone place a regular sized cache if it's only going to have a log book inside it? some of them were pretty big - gallon sized.

Handmade trade item, would you object?

I say we ban the two apostrophes up there in the topic title.

I am a proud member of the apostrophe police... and of course i am pro oxford comma . ellipses and capitalization, however, I use with reckless abandon.

I go caching on weekends and sometimes before/ after work. ( I'd go a heck of a lot more if I wasn't working full time, and if I were single w/o kids, lol.) my daughter likes to go with me but she's only 4 and is only into it for a few finds. I have the 2 gb plan, but I always go over , but never more than 1 gb . so, for me, It's cheaper to have to pay the extra $10 for the 1 GB - rather than upgrade to the 4 gb plan.

Third rule of Geocaching : someone yells " get off my property" , GPSr goes dead, calls a DNF, the search is over.

We should be able to have FTF points just to show off.
