  1. Congrats Tanner_Scout! A big congrats also to: The Fat Cats who passed 2000, zeber, who passed 1000, and shortwing, who passed 100, all on our trip along the Rawson Trail today. And many thanks to Team Reid for organizing a great day of caching!
  2. Mom, Chelsea, and I will be meeting you at the P&R at 7:15. zeber and I will be there too!
  3. That's about the goofiest picture of me I have ever seen! I look like a dork! But maybe that's because I am a dork?!? Your to sexy for those shorts! No, Tom, you look great! And you definitely deserve to be so happy, getting this one off your list! So when's the party? June, I hope?
  4. A side road mentioned earlier as a possible 4WD requirement leads off the main track to a dead-end where Geocache named "Jeepnakd's 1000th Find!!! Cache Box" is placed. It is about a quarter-mile to the hide and crosses a drainage dip that an SUV can handle easily. In truth a careful sedan driver should be able to handle it as well since the crossing should be dry by now. Sandy and I finished by heading into Hemet so no comment on the final part of your route that heads southward. Harmon is correct about that side road. It has ruts that we easily crossed without 4-wheel drive. The other sketchy spot is at the end of Rawson up towards Black Mountain. There is one side road that ends in sand, though as long as you don't go all the way to the end (where the cache is), it should not be a problem. There was another road that had a cache on it, but that was archived for invading into the preserve area--as it should have been. I doubt you'll have any problems. Thank you for all the helpful hints, crew! I'd rather be safe than sorry, so we'll keep an eye out on the trail. Maybe I'll drive my Jeep with it's recovery equip instead of my truck. Hmmm.... Thank you for the Hemet suggestion, Harmon! I'll check that route in case I can stay out late to play! Robyn Hey, Robyn, how long do you think the ride will take? zeber and I might just be able to make it.

  8. John and I will be there. I'm meeting John in Reno Friday so we'll be there for the Friday night thing and leaving Monday. We would love to meet up with some of our San Diego Family! John has cached in the area a bunch so he kinda knows his way around. Jerry I know you will be really busy but there are some great bike trails there. zeber and I are flying up to San Jose on Friday morning, meeting The Fat Cats there and then we're driving to the Sacramento area. We're all staying at the Orchard Suites in Roseville. I think Team Adelos and finkbr are too. zeber and I are flying back on Monday. We were thinking it might be fun to get the SD cachers together for caching and/or socialiizing.

  17. I dropped off a TNG #3 card in Chupy 3: Road Warrior today. It's a bit more of a hike, but it is one of Miragee's San Diego Historic caches.
  18. We live near the Garden Road area of Poway which was badly hit by the fires last time. So far we haven't been evacuated, so we're staying put. The High Valley and Bridlewood areas of Poway were badly hit last night, and the Poway Grade is closed, but so far Scripps Ranch to the south seems to be intact. I guess the evacuations were called because of how quickly a fire would go through there. The latest reports put one arm of the fire at Wildcat Canyon/Muth Valley so that might be a concern. I'm so sorry to hear about those whose families have lost their homes, and I hope you guys are all safe.
  19. What a great card and awesome honor! It is really cool. Thanks to everyone involved. TA What a great choice of cacher - and card! For us puzzle lovers TA has definitely contributed to the sport! Don't you think these cards would make great milestone prizes? I bet we have to solve a puzzle to find the first card huh? Awesome job on the card design! OK, if you say so... Noooooooooooooooo.............!
