The message is "Maximum number of geocaches exceeded" and not "Maximum GPX file size exceeded". Garmin's units have a limit given by a specific number of caches. File size doesn't matter. You'll find the limits there: http://support.garmi...0}&locale=en_US Hans Thank you.

I recently started getting an error message when I turn on my Garmin 550t. "Maximum number of geocaches exceeded" which doesn't make sense because I have over 13GB of space left over on my sd card.

Wow called Garmin they found the problem in short order. Seems I set Marine Chart mode to fishing. Turning this back to off turned my maps back on in Geo mode. WaHoo! Thanks for the help guys, and thanks Garmin.

reinstall didn't help.

I checked city nav is enabled in automotive and geo profile. It must be another setting somewhere in geo setup/profile, but I sure can't seem to find it. Only other possibility is it some how got corrupted. I will try reinstalling city nav too see if this works. Thanks for all the help.

searched for ever in settings, not seeing any settings in Geo profile to show street maps.

My Oregon 550t no longer shows streets when navigating to a Geo. It will tell you turn by turn but doesn't show streets. If I switch to automotive profile it will.

Thanks for the help. I got it setup now. Never had a problem until recently. Think a Garmin update may have added a few settings that changed my setup. I actually found a setting called prompted, it will ask if you want to go by road or direct route. I may try this setting for a while. Thanks again.

My problem is when I select "GO" to a cache, my gpsr routes me to the cache by street. I have to go to the "Where To" and select "Change Route Activity" then select "Direct Routing" every time. Any clue how I can set gpsr to default to direct route?

Having the same problem with Pocket Queries not working. They are not sent to my email, and they don't show up in the download section. Really sucks cause I was going out of town and needed this to work.

I occasionally use my 550t to take pictures in the field. When I go to upload them to an associated cache I always have to rotate them. Anyone else have this problem?

I was doing that and just noticed a tab to click that I agree, thanks it is now gone from my cache......

Hit them on the nose with a rolled up news paper, and tell them bad boy

I recently adopted a cache that had been muggled, and a tb is still listed in the cache but is no longer there. How do I delete the tb so it no longer shows up in inventory?
-
Well if I did I would rather give it to them then a website that just screwed their customers!

You wouldn't happen to have a few million dollars burning a hole in your pocket, would you? I know a certain website that could use it right now... Since you don't care about cost, and all...

Amen!

I use Google Earth on Iphone and it doesn't cost me any more.

Very disappointing. The maps went from HD to SD, I dont care about cost, this was a bad move.

Thanks for your help. I will do that.

I have a Garmin Oregon 550t. I was under the impression that you needed a program like Easygps to convert zip files to gpx. That's the only thing I use it for.

I'm using EasyGPS to open pocket queries which works fine. My problem is that when I tell EasyGPS to transfer the pocket query to my gpsr it doesn't give me the option to send the file to my storage card. I have to cut and paste to put the pocket query file on to my storage card. Is there some way to have the files sent to storage card by default?
