  1. i see no one has mentioned my idea for a cito i may not be old enough to hold one but heres my idea to the rest of you. i did a phone interview with the head of the MN DNR's Adopt a river program i told him about caching and he never heard of it well next day he sent me an email talking about how the mn dnr has just allowed it in state parks but then i asked him if i could do a cito cache with your program and he loved the idea and says it would also be a bonus to keeping geocaching up in state parks and we would be on the dnrs good side. well i know that other states do adopt a river i just dont know which ones but if you log on to your states dnr page you can look up the program this is a major convieniance because its not just rivers its any body of water the deal is a minimum 2 year project with cleanups anually about 1 or 2 months apart maybe excluding winter

  5. i do a lot of dense caching mainly because i have no way around other than to walk or bike gets kinda hard when geocaching is illegal in your favorite county park that takes up half the town. yet i do like quality caches and you dont see to many i try to look for stuff that i find might interest people such as the base of our town founders farm no one knew it was there when i placed the cache or the nicest park around or an extremely good camo by when you find it your third time around you wonder how you missed it. although i like to find creative containers like my first cache an easter egg hunt its excellent for the kids but i have come into times where i get out of hand usually in the summer when i have nothing to do and i start hiding like crazy in one day when i only wanted to hide one good one luckily our cache reviewer will remind us when we are getting a little out of hand i will most likely change my ways of hiding once i get a license soon
  6. cemetary caches creep me out hey do you know Y they put fences around grave yards? because people are just dieing to get in well anyway ive seen a few old ones if they are in a cemetary they usually arnt disturbed like anything else in a grave yard. ive done a few benchmarks in grave yards. plus arnt cemetaries private property?

  8. once agian i have a 210 and it came as a kit so i got mapsend topo 3d usa with it and it helps me with loading geocache points but there also was a geocachingdisc with my gps kit that i could download geocache points that i checkrd the box next to and hit download. i cant do it on my own computer because its windows 98 but i can do it on my dads xp
  9. yes i have a 210 and i bought mine as a bundle and it came with a disc to install that had a progrm that manages your files so i decided to mess around with it on summer break because i had filled half my memory so i clicked on i think it was manage pois and up came this note pad document with all these numbers so i thought how in the world am i supposed to delete these things by deleting them off this well i did any way i trashed all the pois i found by just backspacing all the numbers and letters in each rowhtat had the name at the end of the pois that i didnt want and i did a file save and i unplugged my gps and instead of 250 points taken up i had 40!!! i cant belived how i figured it out. well anyway ihave a question of my own to other 210 owners i need to know how do i recharge the batteries ive tried because in the help folder on my gps it said i could but it wont chargeany help would be great.

  20. one day on the way home from school i saw a sign that said survey marker now being a geocacher i had heard about these and have done a few. so i went out to see wut was there. i got there and couldnt find it but remembered that it usually is very close to the post so i started digging and finaly found it about 3 inches under the grass so i wrote the numbers on a piece of paper and when i got home i lokked it up and there r no bench marks near here i even typed in the number to see wut i got but it was nothing so wut i want to ask is wut should i do? the numbers are 9108 and it was located between lexington ave and hwy 49 along the boarder of circle pines and shorview minnesota on the north side of county road J. please send replies to jlbabturner@usfamily.net

  25. How many campsites are there? We had over 500 cachers this year so figure 700 to 1000 next year. Wulf No way will they be able to handle the numbers. Rice Creek County Park has only 78 campsites, plus a "group camp" area. Bunker Hill Campground, approx. 15-20 miles away, has 44. Linky for the above 2 campgrounds. Those are the only two listed on the Anoka County Park page. There is one other small campsite at Rice Lake State Park, which looks to be at least 2-5 miles away from Rice Creek Co. Park. Info page on the campground says it has 42 drive-in sites, 5 walk-in sites (less than 25 feet from parking area), and 4 cart-in sites (100 ft. from parking area). 16 of the sites are electric, the rest are "rustic". eek well who knows if all r going to camp some may stay in a hotel although theres another park in anoka county near bunker called coon rapids dam park its got less then the two but idk how many campsites agian now is that rice co park is that the one in forest lake because i know there was a place to camp in forest lake. also minneapolis is less than 30 mins away from rice creek 35 from bunker and there r many hotels in minneapolis. besides the new one thats expected to finish this year 3 mins from rice creek park this place also has a nice canoe and kyak route.
