  1. How can I turn on email notifications to get an alert when someone visits my waymarks? Thanks.
  2. No I did not, I didn’t know there was a FAQ. I’ll read that now.
  3. Hey there, semi-new Waymarker.Just found out you can edit I categorized Waymarks. Can anyone just go in there and help post Waymarks? Should I do that? Thanks.
  4. As a teenager, you are 100% correct. Sucks they are frowned upon.
  5. Personally I’ll attempt to Waymark anything and everything possible. It’s all up to preference really.
  6. You were absolutely right. They were on about page 3. Thanks!
  7. Oh I see what you were saying now. The “visits” were my own Waymarks.
  8. No, because that aren’t showing up for the relavant date. lol.
  9. 7/25/20 or 7/24/20. Ocean front park - Daytona beach, FL. And clock tower - Daytona beach, FL.
  10. I just submitted around 30 visits while in Daytona Beach. An hour later when I click on the “My Visits” tab, none of them show up! Any idea why? It shows I visited on the Waymarks page.
  11. He meant if the statue was illuminated in an artistic way, like lazer lights, or colors to form a pattern. But however, after considering it today, I don’t think statues of any kind should be included, because almost every statue can fit into another category.
  12. That is a good point. We have like 20 statue categories. We’ve already gone over some of the points you brought up in our write-up but we are gonna work hard to sort out all the kinks.
  13. I just wanna brief over this, I think this should be allowed, as the statue and lighting feature are 2 separate things.
  14. These are some excellent points, I agree that unless the lights are the focal point of a sculpture, then they shouldn’t be included. With the tree light cover, I don’t see why that wouldn’t be a good fit for this category. Light displays shouldn’t be an issue either. I can’t wait to hear what the community has to say.
  15. You already are an officer lol. We need one more before I can start a write up. Bluesnote, please message anyone you think would be interested!
  16. Oh wow. So it looks like it’s just extreme community bias. That stinks because I know that there is a small percentage of the community, including myself, that enjoy commercial Waymarks.
  17. I’ve determined that this should not be a new category. Thanks for the educational discussion. I think it would be a lovely idea to extend the tennis court category though.
  18. From what I’ve gathered so far, Anything permanent goes, as long as it’s unique. Being modern or artsy fartsy wouldn’t count, it has to be one of a kind. So with holiday lights, a permanently installed reindeer with lights!wouldn’t count, but if someone has a very unique permanent holiday light installation, (which I haven’t seen yet, but I’m sure they are out there somewhere and would pop up in the category eventually.) it would count. I understand I’m going to have to be very specific with this category and that’s fine by me. By the way, anyone interested in being an officer? I have the group up and running.
  19. You said “I vote yes” and someone else said “with a good write up, it could work.”
