I think geocoins are out of control. People are just slapping whatever on a coin to make a quick profit. I watch for those that are actually thought out and that will be the only ones i buy if any at all. I also have noticed that there is alot of copyrights being ripped off. I know people are changing the design a little but that still does not change the fact that it appears to me that copyrights are being used and I am sure there is no permission to do so. so whatever that is just what I think.

This is getting out of freaking control. What will be next. IS THERE NO END? The coins could have been fun until people abused it by putting whatever on the coins so they can make a quick buck. Oh well just what I think.

I do have to say that trading personal items is better then geocoins. It seems that alot more thought goes into the personal item then does with coins. Anyone can put anything on a coin just to sale them to the masses to make a buck but trading a sig item for a sig item seems to have more to it. I just had a wooden nickel made and I am trying to decide if I want to trade them or set them free into caches and see where they end up. If I do trade I will only have about 10 or 20 that I can trade. Most likely will set them free.

I use the ifinder H2O and recently got my daughter the ifinder map and music. Both of these are great GPS. I looked around and compared bang for the buck and Lowrance was on top almost every time for me. Good thing I didn't go on the hipe for magellan or Garmin because I would have missed out on a great GPS. As far as ease of use my daughter got her map and music the other night. I handed her the book and said read through it to learn about your gps. I figured the next day when we was going caching she would need help with the gps so I left mine at home to help her. Well we got to every cache that day because of her leading us around with no help from dad oh and by the way she is only 8.

Ahh I'm sick of geocoins. I dislike all of them. But to each thier own.

Cool idea but bad show humm then again it is for coins ahh I can't decide if I want to support this show or go without the chance to win the coins. The vote is in AI is not worth anything. Yep I will pass.

Copyright infringement is one of the things that kept me from doing a coin earlier. Actually if you look closely at the winged wheel, it isn't the same one that is trademarked by the Red Wings. It is an original work by Fractal Artist Paul DeCelle. I contacted him, and he was very pleased to give me permission to use his artwork. In exchange I am going to send him a set of coins when they're finished. So side one was easily averted. As far as the Stanley Cup goes, I used an actual photograph that I had. Since nobody can place a trademark or copyright on a picture that I own, I wasn't concerned about using that image of the cup. For anyone interested in trading, please drop me an email. I'll try to get back to you quickly. I'll give you fair warning that I'll probably be a little stingy about trading at first, since I'll be selling the majority of the coins, and a lot of the ones I'm keeping are already going to locals, however I will gladly entertain offers. Feel free to drop me a line. Anyways I will be looking around for one. It is a good looking coin and would look good in my collection.

How much did it cost you for the copyright to use the wings logo? How about the the cup? I bet that one cost even more. Let us know. I think I will get rights to use my teams logo's for my coin. Good looking coin I will be watching for it. Actually I guess it would be trade mark infringement but hey that is why I will be hiring a lawyer to figure all this out when I'm ready to make my coin. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I wonder what the issue would be if you left tickets in a cache in a state that gaming was againt the law. I think it would be fun to leave powerball tickets in caches but here in Utah could be a big issue.

I hope I got to you in time. Take a look at LOWRANCE gps units. I believe when I was looking for mine I seen one from them made for mounting on bikes. Good luck with your search. By the way I bought the iFinder H2o from Lowrance and it is great. I have heard no issues from them in my research and the price also helped push me toward this GPS.
