  1. Thanks GlobalRat What are you suffering from if you have - Arachibutyrophobia?
  2. GlobalRat, you are spot on again. "Density is the level of darkness in a negative or positive film or print. The measurement of density is called densitometry. An instrument called a densitometer is used to measure the density." The floor is yours once again!!
  3. The answers are close, but not right yet... Sorry!!
  4. You aint seen nothing until you've seen the new container for our 'Lugner, Lugner' cache. This container was almost two months in the making and we have had cachers walk right up to it and lift it to try and find the cache underneath. Sorry I can't put a photo of it here as I don't have any and seeing as the camo is so good I don't know if I would even find it again... HAHAHA!!!
  5. What does one do with a 'Densitometer'?
  6. Half a point goes to iNokia, but GlobalRad scoops the win!!!! Wow Globalrat... Looking at your log time.... Do you ever sleep???? The floor is yours GlobalRat
  7. If anyone is interested in replacing all thier plastic bags with nice Camo bags with Velcro. Just contact us, I'm sure we can help out.
  8. OK!! Well I have a question that I hope is as difficult as I think it is! Either that or it's comon knowledge for everyone but me! Here goes.... One of the objects placed in the first ever geocache is now a TB and tours the world!!! What is it and what is the TB's name?
  9. Are you perhaps talking about the South African Cricket Team? And the match shown between India and South Africa that was played in Belfast, only.... the commentator in the movie says that 'its being played in the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.'? This is just a stab in the dark as I have only read about the movie but not seen it as yet.
  10. Ok! After reviewing all the available dates and so on, we have settled on a date. Follow the link to the listing. Sorry if there are people who can't make it on the date we settled on but we were squashed for time.
  11. So many events so little time!! Hee Hee!!!
  12. The morse code for 3 dashes, 3 dots and 3 dashes does equate to SOS but was only refured to as SOS as a easy way to remember the distress code. Therefore Jors, you are correct SOS actually stands for nothing. Please check out the link below for a better explanation: SOS Wikipedia The floor is your's Jors.
  13. Thanks Carbon Hunter... Do you think we should let someone else play with or not? Ha Ha!! Ok! Here's a question that might seem easy at first but beware... there's a catch. What does the distress signal SOS stand for? Good Luck!
  14. Well Fish Eagle, I haven't quite got there yet, but I was hoping you would help me lead the group down the gorge and if theres enough people maybe even lead a separate group!! You've done it so many times I wouldn't think of doing it with out you. Plus, we need the trusty ol sani cache-mobile to help haul people back up to their cars again....Ha Ha!!!
  15. Taking a chance here.... Is it Hendri Coetzee! Remember hearing about it somewhere a while ago.
  16. We are currently toying with the idea of a mini-event to do the hike down the Crocodile Gorge. The gorge is full of water at the moment so it might be a 30% swim, 70% hike down and thats the main reason why we want to do it now (before the gorge dries up for the winter). All who have done the hike know that the 1.2km walk takes around 4 to 4½ hours, we would like to do the hike this time around exploring the gorge as we go, so if it takes 6 or 7 hours, so what? One of the guys who will be joining us knows the gorge very well and has even camped in the gorge on occasion. He has found a Leopards lair that he has promised to show us, he is also an expert on Spiders and Snakes as that is why he spends most of his spare time in the gorge. The only problem this time round is that Malcom (The owner of the farm) does not live there anymore so we don't know if there is camping, accommodation, facilities or water available on the farm at the moment. We will find out more and depending on the reaction we get to this thread, will post more details about accommodation and dates soon. If you don't know what we're talking about, go check out the following links: Gorgeous Gorge 1 Gorgeous Gorge 2
  17. Why blow me down!! That's the fastest I've ever seen a correct reply come through on this forum!!!! I really thought our question was going to be a little more difficult that it turned out. You can find out more about the longish one at the link below: KNP Dzombo Burn experiments I don't know what the 9 square pattern is, but assume it is the same sort of thing, just on a larger scale. The floor is yours Carbon Hunter, I hope you give us something more challenging.
  18. Thanks CnC!! Ok, Here goes...! If you go to the following co-ordinates in Google Earth: S23°28.398' E31°26.374' And similarly S23°26.564' E31°22.738' You will see some strange features in the veld, visable from the sky in the Kruger National Park. Our question is - What are they?
  19. The song I think is " Stuck in a moment", but I only know the U2 version not the original artist.
  20. We have 2 Trackables out there that have been in the hands of Geocachers since June 2008 & July 2008. We have tried to contact them, but have received no replies. Does anyone out there in cacheland know or know where to get hold of "Vendits" & "Sneak"? All we want is our trackables to be returned to circulation, thats all!!! If you are also a victim to trackable hogs/Thieves, share your story here and name the culprit so that if someone out there knows them they might be able to help in getting contact details or getting the tracables back into circulation. 21. Hi Sevil, I have a Garmin GPSmap 76csx, still in good condition for ±R3 000. They retail for R6 250. It has a micro SD with SA Maps loaded, a highly sensitive GPS receiver for caching in bad weather and under foliage. Read more about it on the Garmin web: www.garmin.co.za/GPSmap 76csx Regards Chris GPS Storm
