GxProxy, when they were in biz, created a whole line of aluminum proxy coins that they called 'Stunt Doubles'. We bought many over the years and some are still traveling.

No reason to open any can of proxies ( ;) ) but if you like discovering them, it's all good. If not ... leave them be and cache on ... !!!

GxProxy no longer has a web store but can be contacted at gxproxy@hotmail.com and they do still make the aluminum Proxy Stunt Double. That phrase was created as the Proxy takes on the role of a Stunt Coin for the original so it doesn't end up damaged or missing.   Since they are in a flip and have a card insert explaining what it is it is easy to discover or move.

  5. There are metal coin shaped proxies available that have approved Groundspeak art and can travel in a flip just like a "real" coin with the tracking number on it. ONLY if it goes missing should a second be released. It causes confusion when different cachers log they found it and or moving when it is in more than one location.. Feel free to pm me a message if you would like more info

  6. Caching the Last Frontier is a Series that began 3 years ago with the creation by Christian Mackey of the Whale coin. Followed by the Fox with Ptarmigan last year and now the Alaskan Salmon and Brown Grizzly Bear are being introduced..

  13. Some of the labs were placed on the lower level, too, so those who missed that area were disengaged from multiple means of directing them down there.

I agree, I was amazed when I heard them saying that they didn't know. I know they were from Canada so maybe English is difficult for them. The downstairs traffic was a lot better than last year but not near as busy as the pictures of upstairs.

The Groundspeak store and Kids activities were great and though I saw the pictures of registration lines were long I heard they moved fast. Already looking forward to next year. :)

  15. While looking at the pictures I am amazed at the size of the crowds shown upstairs compared to "Downstairs". I met cachers at the Sunday Tunnel of Light cache who did not realize there were more booths and food trucks downstairs.

I know there was a map as part of the Lanyard but I wonder how many looked at it before they returned home. If you did not know what would be your suggestion for letting attendees know?

If you did know, did you go down and look around?

Just looking for feedback so every year as the event expands its location footprint everyone gets to enjoy all of the activities, booths, food and area.
