  1. Yes, it is a YJTB. The tag came off for the pictures. The Dollar Store had a six-pack of little 4x4s for a buck. We canibalized the wheels and axles then hacksawed the top off a hotwheels car motor. The axles fit in the stock slots and a drop of super-glue holds the motor to the hood. I try to do something to all the jeeps I find!
  2. Ain't nuthin wrong with bigger tires and more power!
  3. Mr. & Mrs. K and Honey Puppy along with CacheNDache have reserved rooms at the Coast. Looking forward to seeing you all there!
  4. Please put Kfam down for 3 coins please. They look great!
  5. There is an awesome multicache that gets a hunter very familiar with this park. I could have used an extra head while searching there!
  6. Dropped off a new WA Geocoin in one of our caches today. Enjoy!
  7. Is the current tracking method worth losing the low number lottery? Or how about WA, WB, WC...etc?
  8. A question about numbering. Starting over from #1 with each new series or on up from 1500?
  9. Thanks Slinger That was just a very rough idea in an attempt to get something that will have the volcano theme without looking like a spewing version of our '04 coin. Anyone with skills and talent is welcome to pretty it up.
  10. Just wanted to toss in an idea. What do you think about a "WA" coin that, when turned upside down, looks like an erupting volcano?
  11. Good Luck and Welcome! The first one will probably be one of your most memorable. Savor the hunt and have fun!

    Historic Sites

After reading about the Anti-Geocaching article in another thread, I went looking for other historic sites in our state. Has anyone seen WISAARD! ? There is some fascinating information there!
  14. Hello Cherokeetracker I saw your name in a logbook this morning at Mammoth's Lake! If you'd like some local help, don't hesitate to ask. I'd be happy to help get you going. Cheers! Dan @ Kfam in Spanaway
  15. There is a way to do that with pocket queries. Make a query of the cache types you want, select by your desired location (lat-lon) or postal code and select "New within the last week". Save this query but don't run it yet. Preview the query to make sure it contains what you want. This will sort the caches , submitted in the last week, by distance. You can bookmark the preview so that you can look at it any time. Hope this helps!
  16. Congratulations to Flask on his 800th find logged today! That puts him in about 650th place according to (to be on topic) This stats site. Cheers!
  17. Git yer shovels ready. Of course the reporter said that all the caches were buried. If you have Comcast, you can see it again "On Demand" about 45 minutes into the 5pm news. Good job on the Rice's part (who are they, anyway?) for helping the reporter put together a positive story about caching. It looks like they all had fun.
  18. May I suggest a familiar, yet, non-infringing color pattern somewhere on the new coin?
  19. So, maybe I'm not too late after all? These darned "pinned" threads are hard to see. I've got a pair of Dell Axim X3i handhelds. I'd like to play too, please. Dan @ Kfam
  20. Wished I had your Photoshop skills and creativity. It's still fun to play with. Let's see...volcano, dam, apples, dress. Anything else?
  21. If we go with a Mt. St. Helens theme, shouldn't it be more along the lines of "New Saint Helens-25 Years and still Growing"?
  22. It's hard to come up with an East side symbol that would look good on a coin. Someday I'd like to see a ferry boat featured. BTW, we're not the only ones looking for a Washington coin design.
  23. Lock 'n Lock containers are the best for being inexpensive and watertight. Bomb squads seem to appreciate the clear plastic too! You can order them from Target or Amazon.
