  1. Hi elmbeard, you've run into one of the more frustrating issues in hiding, which is the stages of multi-staged caches. The planning map explains that it's NOT showing hidden stages, only public coords, but few seem to understand that until they encounter the issue. Unless you've found all these in an area, there's always a risk of encountering one. In your case, compounded by it being PMO and you not having a Premium membership, so you can't even see it to find it. The cache isn't "secret". Each time you hide a cache, you can put your proposed cache coords in the Search pane, and get a list of all the nearby caches. On your unpublished cache page, if you click the link of all nearby caches, that's the same search. The first thing shown is that PMO cache. Because it's a multi-cache, you'd still only know where it started, and not where the final is. Any given cache isn't "hogging all the slots", it's just occupying it's space with an exclusion zone of 528ft/161 meters around it. You could ask the reviewer for a direction to move your cache. Whether they'll offer that is variable to region and specific circumstances. Some areas, people deliberately crowd caches in hopes of getting final coords by working out distances to unpublished.
  2. I see the pagination issue with View User content has been fixed, and the non-functional left nav bar stuff is now gone, thanks. No fix yet for seeing posts in only in some forums when asking for user content. I notice the forum software picks up and uses id as number for some users, but no longer displays user number on hover (which I miss). See this post by <"((((<( - if you ask to get his profile from the forums, the form is https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?id=2414823 You can both get to his profile from these forums and get to his forum content from his Geocaching.com profile as the URLs generated use a number rather than the special characters.
  3. Another issue with User Content module : it ignores posts in the Waymarking & Wherigo forums and I think, but haven't checked very thoroughly, all posts in Geocache Types and Additional GPS Based Gameplay Geocaching and.... , also Geocaching Discussions by Country sub forums. Possibly a setting somewhere? Check the new Waymarking forum moderator wayfrog He's got 3 posts, per the Waymarking forum software, but my player account sees nothing for content. My player account Isonzo Karst has a recent post to Waymarking, but it doesn't show up on that first page of content. Ranger Fox, his Wherigo forum posts are not included in his content I'd expect to see some content in the Brazil forum from RuideAlmeida
  4. Two special character issues now: 1) From these forums, you can't get to the profile of users with a special character in Username, you get a 500 or 404 server error. Sees post on page 1, (no post number, comment 5666431 ) by Toba78&Mapulu 2) Also, from Geocaching.com you cannot see See the Forum Posts for this User, if username has particular special characters, ampersand for sure. You're just cycled back to Profile. Below, link to Vinny & Sue Team on Geocaching.com You can't get to their posts from their profile. However, below that user <"((((<( - you CAN get to his posts from his profile, but NOT from the forums to his profile- throws a 404 error. 5. This has also been mentioned by MartyBartfast. Illustration below. Note the pull down widget where you enter a page number also goes to Geocaching.com public profile Also, there are links in the left side nav bar, all of which ALSO go to the Geocaching.com profile.
  6. This is the actual reviewer request. I expect you could work with the reviewer here, and it'll all be fine.
  7. in Reviewer mode to Team Hugs ~ Question 1. Work has been done by some project gc checker writers to handle, "find of oldest cache active at the time you logged it within region X" . This different from log of oldest currently active. One can be published, possibly and the other cannot. Question 2. A challenge can be created to have log 10 Mystery caches in Michigan, but NOT 10 Challenge caches in Michigan, (text/title dependent) and certainly not 10 challenges of a specific flavor (county oldest).
  8. This reviewer sees no problem. Certainly no issue with NFL swag or colors on the cache itself. Your local reviewer can assist as far how much Bronco excitement can be on the cache page itself. I think you might have a problem with Orange Crush as a title, because it's also the name of line of soda... so in spite of your intent, it ends up being "name of product" as cache title. I expect there are other titles you can use.
  9. Any person can move a trackable into their collection, IF the owner sets that trackable to be "collectible". Presumably, you did. And then released it. Someone picked it up, and finding it to be "collectible", they collected it. That status is set on the trackable edit page. Generally, owners make trackables collectible so they can move them into their OWN collections. I don't know if you can now change that or nor. You might try it. Alter the setting from collectible to not collectible, it's a check box. Once you've done that, you can mark it missing, which will move it virtually to an Unknown Location. Presumably it's in the hands of the geocachers who picked it up, so all of this moot. The physical thing is outside your control
  10. On a Geocaching.com cache report or edit page, the cache title pane accepts 49 characters and spaces. Short description pane accepts 500 characters and spaces (any html commands used count) Long description pane is huge. I've never found a limit. Some devices used by geocachers won't display 49 character title, cutting it short.
  11. At times that edit page calendar widget has been broken, only wanting to output month as text. Sounds like that was happening to you. Outputs text, then because that isn't a match for your selected format, complains about it One way to deal with this is to select one of the four MMM (month as text) formats as your date preference and then the edit page calendar always works, and it's easy to see what's happening with date output. No confusing 09/10/2017 with 10/09/2017....
  12. On the cache page, click the Favorites counter near top right. You can add a favorite from there without a new log, or relogging.
  13. In Reviewer mode, my observation is that ~25% of cache owners who receive a Health Score email do cache maintenance in the following month. How many of these people might have checked hides without the email, I don't know. Some hides have been in trouble for a looong time... Of the other 75%, some I disable, some I put on a bookmark list to watch over time, (typically these are higher difficulty caches, but with quite long runs of DNFs, more consecutive DNFs than in the past), some I eyeball the cache page and just move on.
  14. Apologies, you are correct. Viewing NEW profile milestones, the edit option appears. If you try it, the list of caches shown to chose a new milestone will be your own finds, NOT the finds of the user whose profile you're viewing. And nothing actually happens. You may not noticed this as your finds, and your wife's finds are likely very similar. Yep, a bug
  15. Windows OS, Firefox Viewed from a computer, I'm not seeing this on any profiles.
  16. Go here: Home Location Having trouble with it accepting an address?, a zip code?, or coords? I suggest using coordinates, in the format that this site's default format. I'm offering the coords of the first cache you found: N 50° 39.906 W 001° 10.702 enter those, click on the SEARCH button to the right of the coordinate entry pane. Now your home coords are the same as that cache's coords. To fine tune the location, you can move the pointer around on the map. Click SEARCH! when you have the pointer where you want it.
  17. Both Giga and Mega status are awarded PRIOR to the event, not retroactively. Their respective Help Center articles make this clear. At some time, there could be 2 events able to attract 5000 attendees on the same weekend, far enough apart not to compete with each other. Currently, I believe all Giga events have been in western Europe. Two Giga in western Europe on the same weekend would compete for attendees.
  18. Carefully check what you've got for your new, corrected coords, the difference between N 39.06295, W 104.51132 N 39.10482, W 104.85157 is over 18 miles. If the necessary change is in the hundreds of feet, you've generated bad coords somehow. Boulter distance calculator

    My Finds PQ

Events are counted, and returned in a My Finds PQ. Lab caches are not returned in a My Finds PQ. That would account for a difference of 10 between your find count on the site, and a My Finds query.
  20. My understanding is that the Seagnoid is talking about logs to unpublished caches, presumably logs by Geocaching.com Friends to their own unpublished cache; a Reviewer note or Write Note would be my expectation. Harry Dolphin is talking about finds on retracted caches.
  21. Search has a field for Not Found By - where you can enter up to 5 usernames.
  22. ThanksI understand now. Seems like bug rather than a feature.
  23. I don't believe that's true of you or any user. I see 71 CITO attended by the blexa account when logged in as palmetto, (a Premium Account) and when logged in under a Basic account. Of the 71 v 1 CITOs, user blexa has 70 finds on archived CITO, and 1 find on a disabled CITO. Perhaps you were using some search function that doesn't return archived? Your image link doesn't go to an image, it takes me to an opportunity to upload images.
